Smart, energetic and personable too
He asked insightful questions and put the clues together to figure out the real cause of my issues. My referring physician and I completely misjudged, but Dr. Sandhu put me on the right path and I am very thankful.

There is no place to chose negative stars.
Dr. Sandhu is a terrible diagnostic doctor! I went to him for help and all I got was months of pain and joint damage. I finally got a referral to an awesome doctor at UC Davis (this means driving 2.5 hrs.). He easily diagnosed me with lab work and a physical exam. I was diagnosed with RA. I'm now on medicine to help me. I know there are not any other Rheumatologists in Chico, but DO NOT waste your time or health on this man. He forgot the primary oath to do no harm.

Front office workers were rude and unhelpful. The doctor made them seem friendly in comparison. He downplayed all of my symptoms and made me feel like a hysterical person. This was 3 years ago. I have since been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. Funny thing is before he said anything to me he said “I see you have a butterfly rash across your face”. Even with that, I wasn’t taken seriously. He seemed to only be interested in what my husband said and interrupted me before I could finish a sentence. Even with all my positive and abnormal tests, the doctor said lose weight and you’ll feel better. There doesn’t seem to be many choices for a Rheumatologist in this area. If you are lucky enough to get a choice, I would go with someone else

Run away!!!! First you have to get a referal from Ampla doctors or primary care which takes them forever (Sandhu's office) to get you in. Then doctor Sandhu puts you on Simponi (which he administers in office) this did not work very well after 2 weeks I called and he gave me prednisone said this should reset me, nope did nothing. He told me to wait for next infusion (6 wks away) I was very crippled by then and he gave me simponi again. same thing did not work longer than 2 weeks. I asked for Remicade which always works for me but he does not have that in his office. So in other words he was too lazy to have someone call an infusion center and set me or maybe he wanted me to be crippled!!!! I will tell you what I did... I now drive 2 hours away to have the Remicade which was yesterday and today I am 70% back to normal and going to get better every day now. So you make your own decision!

Not sure what the problem is, but the office staff has been consistantly derisive and Dr. Harchetan Sandhu let my prescription lapse resulting in a joint destroying flare up. I've left his practice and am seeking services elsewhere. This entails significant travel time, but is worth it.

I have been seeing Dr. Sandhu for over 13 years. He is very knowledgeable and listens carefully to my concerns and problems. I have had RA for 15 years. He is very careful and conscientious with my health. I was on a medication that had a chance of affecting my eyes. He made me get regular eye exams and caught that it affected my eyes even though the odds were less than a percent. I have a great deal of respect for this doctor. He sees hundreds of patients and always remembers details about me. He is one of the best Rheumatologists I have encountered. Don’t believe the negative feedback. Angela Peters

I would give negative stars if I could. I was massively sick and he told me to stop drinking diet soda and get some exercise. I left his office in tears. I ended up being dx with Lyme by far more competent doctors and getting the treatment I needed. I am better now no thanks to him and his ignorance. I would never see him again nor recommend him.

Does not believe Lyme Disease is even in CA. Very arrogant. He dismissed my CDC lab positive test results, due to him not feeling it was a legit lab. Igenex specializes in testing tick born illness. Then he dismissed my positive lab results for ANA, RNC and others for autoimmune. Due to him not liking my well respected neurologist. He told me my problems would be solved if I went Off my current medications! Truly a God complex. I refuse to ever step into his office again.

Only Rheumatologist in a large area and he knows it! Went to see him re: a massive RA Flare and desperate for help. He is rude, dismisses you, arrogant and in my opinion, doesn't go out of his way to treat you with respect or curtiousy at all. Took me 3 mo. For an app. after crawling thru hoops bc per the receptionist, they had no sooner appts avai. for a patient clearly dealing with major inflammation & uncontrolled RA. To my surprise all 3 times I went office was totally empty! Don't go here!
