Dr. Haresh Mehta, MD

This doctor will take everything you have to say about your history of trauma and abuse, seemingly understanding about your situation at first, and then throw it right back in your face when the opportunity feels right to him. He has a shockingly bad temperament for a behavioral doctor. If you display signs of C-PTSD, he will outright invalidate your emotions and gaslight you with a smirk on his face like he’s getting a high off of it. He has a very fragile ego and will rage if you have any questions about your medication, like it’s a personal attack against his medical degree. He will have you walking out feeling like what you went through is your fault. Do not trust this doctor with any of your deep emotional anguish and personal information. The front office staff is also very irresponsible and unprofessional.

I have been a patient of Dr. Haresh Mehta's for almost a year now and I am now searching for another psychiatrist. Three situations have occurred in which lost my trust in him. The first event that happened was during our 5:30 pm telehealth appointment in which Dr. Mehta nodded off. I do believe it is time for him to retire. Secondly, after I left a few messages needing to discuss recent delusions and how to stop them from occurring; whether I needed another prescription or to stop the most recent prescription added to my treatment, I was told to stay on all current medications and that we would discuss further treatment the next day. The problem here is nothing was changed and he never called. Lastly, my lithium levels were not being monitored during the 7 months I was a patient.

So I did have to wait a little over 35 mins for Dr. Mehta but he was very nice and apologized for the wait. I was prescribed the wrong medicine by another doctor I was seeing. He asked questions and actually listened to me. I told him the medicine I was on and he explained why he thought I should be on something different. I tried it and am so grateful I listened to him. I am not sure what the other people are talking about in the review but I am so grateful I found him.

Due to inadequate staff personnel my information was put in incorrectly in my appointment was canceled without notice despite my showing up. They simply said I could be put on a waitlist. I explained it was their error but they refused to see me

Dr. Mehta has been caring for my dad for the past month and has been a big help. He is very smart and relaxed and made us feel at ease in a very stressful situation. The medication he prescribed seems to be working and it's been a pleasure having Dr. Mehta help us thorough these tough times.

I will tell others to run the other way. 45 minute wait only to find out the "doctor" has less compassion than a roadkill squirrel.
