Been a patient for over 20 years. Dr. Mermelstein always makes me feel comfortable and confident that he has my best interest at heart. Most importantly he always remembers me even if I haven’t seen him in a few years. Truly a great man and fantastic doctor.

Too busy to spend 2 minutes on the phone
Dr Mermelstein refused to get on the phone with me to discuss results of my biopsy. I was only able to speak with an office assistant. Unacceptable! The lab report I was sent used words like hyperkeratosis, papillated, reticulated, epithelial, hyperplasia, horn pseudocysts, and inflammatory cell infiltrate. The office assistant was only able to tell me "...It's the description, like if I said you were 6 feet tall and weighed 190 pounds". Can you believe it? Unfortunately I haven't completed my mail-order Dermatology course, so it was difficult to decipher my results. I understand the doctor's time is oh-so-precious, but I expect better, and will vote with my feet. Suggest you do the same!

My first visit was today and my experience with this doctor made me feel like we are family. This doctor is fast with his patient and listens very closely to details. Very professional and respectful.
