Good Dr, but be careful...
Dr Basran performed rotator cuff surgery on both my arms a year apart. The right arm was first and the procedure and therapy went well. I proceeded to have my left arm done. The procedure and therapy went well. But, during my left arm therapy, I noticed that the right arm outer bicep 'slipped' and balled up. It's known as a Popeye outcome. I addressed this with Dr Basran and he sent me for a new scan. At the followup, he mentioned there were no worries, the procedure was 'in-place.' He discharged me early from my second arm from his care. He was clearly disturbed I went for a second opinion. What I later discovered thru obtaining and reading the second scan myself was a 'slippage' was reported on the scan report. He never mentioned that. But stated, 'everything is still in place.' He didn't lie, BUT HE DID NOT TELL THE TRUTH. Be careful.

Family members have been to see Dr Basran over the years, however when I went to make an appt for my son last week, the receptionist said they have to keep a credit card on file to make an appt. I said nope, I have always paid my bills, and I do not leave my credit card on file. I said I’ll find another provide and she said OK. So off we go to Ortho IL.

Dr. Basran has a pleasant manner but does not always provide information post operative giving the patient confidence in their recovery. There were many instances where I was making progress but then experienced set backs that were anticipated by him but not shared with me. I don't care for the insertion of his Physicians Assistant post surgery. My first follow up visit was with her and I didnt know why I was meeting with her instead of Dr. Basran. I dont find her of value and see her as a redundancy in the follow up process.

He has been our doctor through many sports injuries in the past 10 years. With 3 kids he has seen them all. Great at explaining everything to the kids as well as the parents. You hope to never need him but happy to know that he is there.

New to area so had to research doctors because I injured my knee so thought I came up with a good one - and I did! Dr Basran is an excellent Doctor. Takes time to listen and answer all questions. After my surgery he even called me the next morning. Just came from my post-op appointment and he showed me a video of my surgery! Have had many surgeries but never saw that before! I highly recommend Dr Basran!

I've never had a doctor actually take the time to listen to me. He fixed my rotator cuff and my husband's acl. We both are ahead of schedule and thank him for his great work!
