Best Endocrinologist!
He did more for me in 2 visits than my prior endocrinologist did. He's very attentive, friendly, and funny. He explained the tests to me in detail.

Kicked me out
As a doctor, I was satisfied with the care he provided. However, have not had an appointment in the last two years due to other family priorities. Prior to that I had to reschedule a couple of appointments. Apparently, if you cancel and/or have to reschedule, you get kicked out and basically told to find another doctor.

Just received some very disturbing news regarding Dr. Harry Uy. Refusing to continue to see patient due to 2 missed visit that were PAID even though missed with one being due to the physicians office staff rescheduling appt. however failing to inform patient of new appt. time.. As a health care worker myself and a family full of physicians and nurses in the Houston Beaumont area I find this very disturbing. Unforeseen events arise and people often are unable to make there appts. and need to be reschedule. A little kindness , understanding and professionalism goes along way. No referrals headed this way. I will see to it that Dr Santiago and Many others in the SA area are made aware of just how rude and nonprofessional this office is.

Dr. Uy is a wonderful physician. He takes his time with you and answers all your questions thoroughly. He is extremely polite and respectful. There is usually a short wait to be seen. His nurse is awesome. I love Dr. Uy!

Dr Uy is an excellent doctor whose bedside manner immediately puts you at ease. There is never a rush while you are in w/him and speaking to him. He explains everything very well and shows he truly cares about your health. So happy my GYN recommended him to me. Yes, I did have some initial problems connecting w/the scheduling POC trying to get my first appointment, so glad I was persistent in scheduling that first appointment. Excellent care provider!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE SO FAR. YOU CAN NEVER GET AHOLD OF THE OFFICE. ALWAYS A BUSY SIGNAL. WHEN YOU GET THROUGH TO SOMEONE THEY DONT TRANSFER CALLS APPROPRIATELY, CALLS GET DROPPED, OR YOU GET VOICEMAIL. PHONE CALLS ARE RARELY RETURNED TIMELY. THE DOCTOR IS NICE BUT OFFICE IS OUTDATED. REFERRED BY MY OBGYN, WHO I LOVE!, BUT DO NOT FEEL I'M GETTING PROPER CARE WITH THIS OFFICE.

It took 3 weeks to make an appointment!! Ridiculous! Vanessa and I played phone tag for 3 weeks!!! She stopped returning my calls in week 2 and could never find my labs after 2 faxes of over 30 pages.

I have been seeing Dr. Uy for 7 years now and went on a family recommendation. He is always so kind and thoughtful, wants my numbers to be just right and works with me to get there. Have been seeing him for Hypothyroidism. Would recommend him to anyone. Never any issues with the office or staff. He strives to make sure you understand all medical terms and explains on your level.
