TERRIBLE bedside manner
My husband has been going through chemo and radiation and we've been seeing Dr. Yoon. We were excited because everyone told us 'he's the best.' Unfortunately, he lacks empathy, regurgitates stats at us, doesn't appear to review my husband's chart until we're sitting in the room with him, and is consistently late. This last time we waited in his office for 45 minutes before we were seen.I don't doubt his intelligence, I know he's brilliant, but there is something to be said about emotional intelligence and not making patients feel like they are going to die tomorrow.My husband had scans yesterday that showed no cancer cells. The first thing Yoon said was, 'well it's still there' and 'you should think of this as a chemo holiday until it comes back.' Rude and not helpful. Consequently, my husband has been devasted about the possibility of it coming back and is unable to take this as a victory. I genuinely worry his demeanor will affect my husband's ability to stay positive and recover.
