Avoid Dr Gopal
My experience with Dr Gopal was terrible. He refused to answer my questions, didn’t believe me when I explained my symptoms, was condescending and showed a total lack of interest in my concerns. He refused to order diagnostic tests and somehow convinced himself that I had a condition for which I had no symptoms. He prescribed a medication but refused to tell me the side effects of the drug.

I became a patient of Dr. Gopal's a few months ago. Having suffered for years from sinus problems, I sought the very best ENT and was routed to him by doctors I trust. He examined me with care, sent me for a CT scan, and asked that I make a few changes in routine, including nasal rinsing and the use of a spray (fluticasone). These changes helped. With the results of my scan and some painless investigation on his part, he was able to explain and even "map" some of the manner in which surgery (sinuplasty) could improve my condition. I had the surgery about two weeks ago. The changes to my breathing and energy levels are drastic, already, and I'm left bewildered that I should have suffered for so many years without seeking thorough and specific medical advice. My sleeping is better, my athleticism has been given a new lease, and I'm simply grateful for his professionalism and for what I can only call the fantastic result he's brought about.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gopsl for over 5 years, and he has been excellent. My acid reflux has diminished significantly, and I feel fine. He is pleasant and easy to talk with, and I highly recommend him.

I’ve been a patient for several years and Dr. Gopal was so good that I even had my teenage daughter see him when she needed to have adenoid surgery. My husband has also been a patient. I had sinus problems my whole life and it wasn’t until Dr. Gopal that I got some relief. He was conservative and treated the problem with medication for several years and when surgery was needed he was able to do it minimally invasive. It’s been 2 months out and for the first time ever I can really breathe well!

Dr. Gopal confidently said I needed a 2-part surgery 6 months apart because of the severity of my condition. Since then I consulted with 4 other very reputable ENTs who all told me that a 2-part surgery makes no sense, and puts me at risk for a lifelong complication. The only plausible explanation they said was that he tried to make this count as 2 separate procedures for insurance purposes so he could double his earnings. Apparently he has a reputation for prescribing unnecessary procedures.

Don’t believe Dr. Gopal’s ‘expert’ opinions. He ordered a CT Scan and told me that in addition to my deviated septum I also needed sinus surgeries. He prescribed strong antibiotics and said if I don’t take those my insurance company will not allow the surgery. My nephew, who is an experienced radiologist, reviewed my CT Scan and confirmed that my sinuses were all clear!!! It is really upsetting that Dr. Gopal recommended an unnecessary sinus surgery, to make more money.
