I am FOREVER thankful for this practice! I went to my general dentist on a Wednesday to extract an infected wisdom tooth as well as supernumerary tooth on the same side after suffering from nearly 2 weeks with pain ! Unfortunately after much force my dentist was unable to remove all of the tooth only pieces, which as you can imagine caused a painful situation to intensify. He wrote me a referral to see an oral surgeon but they were unable to fit me in for nearly 4 weeks out! There was no way I could suffer with a partially removed infected tooth for over a month. I called Oral & Facial Surgery Center of Virginia as soon as they opened at 8am Thursday! With tears in my eyes desperate for a solution. I was greeted by the front desk staff member Abby who was Heaven sent! I explained to her my situation and she went above and beyond! She worked with me and my original dentist to get my records and everything sent over. She understood my pain and was determined to get me seen ASAP! She called me before close of business that day and found me an appointment for the next day Friday! To finish my failed extraction I had to undergo “twilight anesthesia” which gave me quite a bit of anxiety! I have PTSD surrounding anesthesia from some experiences with my daughter being treated for health issues. Everyone that assisted me went above and beyond to comfort my fears and give me the best possible experience! The procedure from start to finish was AMAZING, and the “twilight anesthesia” was a breeze, I literally don’t remember any part of the procedure! Dr. Shinwari is a brilliant oral surgeon and I can’t thank him enough! He swiftly finished my extraction and put me on the road to recovery! Not even 24 hours later and the pain is almost non existent! I cannot recommend this practice enough!

This is a horrible place. Overbooked just to make money off of people. Never trust them.

Dr. Shinwari sensed my fear & explained the procedure . I was fearful due to my age & heart disease. He very quickly put my mind at ease, by making sure that I knew to stop 2 of my meds, by sending letters to my doctors. This was to allow a minimum of bleeding and bone growth, The procedure went off without a hitch, I am so happy that I choose Dr. Shinwari and would recommend him highly.

This office is Awesome! I came in very nervous, Dr Shinwari and his assistants made me feel very comfortable and calm. I would recommend this practice to anyone that is look for an oral surgeon.

Had 2 wisdom teeth extracted last month, and Dr. Shinwari made the process very smooth and painfree, in spite of me being very scared and nervous. The dr was very patient with me and reassured me I would be fine. Removal of my wisdom teeth seemed to be extremely easy for him, he's a very good doctor. Within 20 minutes of him starting the removal, both of my right side wisdom teeth were gone. The next day, I was already feeling normal and didn't even need my pain meds. Thank you Dr. Shinwari!
