Dr. Hassan Azimi, MD

I turned to have a very complex hand. I had to see four hand doctors before I went to surgery. It is strange for me to say that each had a different approach for me. Dr. Azimi diagnosed me first , and explained more to me about my prognosis. I had a successful surgery, yet he had explained to me what to expect in future because I have some congenital problems on my hand and although feeling much better he anticipated to me I am not out of the woods. I like he listens, have manners,videos a very full examination. The anesthesiologist was great. He always had made sure I have follow up, which I never had under Scripps. Overall , I recommend him and I will continue under his care.

Dr. Azimi is a very nice guy and seems like a good doctor but I believe he wrongly diagnosed my wrist injury after getting a second look. I had a subchondral cyst from an injury formed on my right wrist. He recommended a steroid shot and after receiving it, it felt great for about 5 months, then the pain immediately came back. Instead of fixing the problem, it just seemed to delay it. After talking with another doctor, she heavily did not recommend a steroid shot for this and now the problem still remains.

I saw Dr. Azimi for a ganglion cyst on the inside of my wrist which presses on my radial artery and nerve. My husband and I were shown to a room to wait for the doctor. The doctor came in, didn't greet us or introduce himself and just sat down without looking at me and started asking questions. The exam seemed thorough enough though I went away from his office with no resolution except for invasive surgery. I was also offended by his choice to tell me that I shouldn't just get the surgery for "cosmetic" reasons. What? Because I'm a woman that's the reason I would get surgery? I received the EOB from my insurance letting me know what my share is of the payment two months ago. After a month I call the office to see when I might receive a bill so that I can factor that into my budget. I was transferred to the billing office and left a message a MONTH ago with no reply. Very frustrating and unprofessional.

My experience with Dr. Azimi was great! His surgery team was awesome as well. Super professional, and listened to my needs. Post surgery was just as great. Hardly any pain or bruising. I really wanted to find something else to have surgery on. ?

Amazing Dr that I would recommend to anyone. He gives you complete attention and listens to what is truly happening. He fixed my hand and I am back at work quicker and with as small amount of pain as could happen. I would suggest him to anyone and they would be glad to had seen him.
