DR. CASSIM
I HAVE ONLY SEEN DR. CASSIM ONCE. I HAD TO SEE HIS PA AFTER AN MRI. I LIKE DR. CASSIM BUT DO NOT LIKE HOW LONG IT TAKES TO GET AN APPOINTMENT WITH HIM AND HAVING TO SEE THE PA FOR 2 FOLLOW UPS WHEN SHE CAN'T REALLY DO ANYTHING. THE OFFICE ALSO CANCELLED MY 2ND APPT. W/HER BUT I DIDN'T GET THE PHONE MESSAGE UNTIL I WAS ALREADY AT EISENHOWER. I HATE THE VOICE RECOGNITION SOFTWARE THEY USE....IT'S INACCURATE, MISSING INFORMATION AND PARTS ARE INDECIPHERABLE. IT TOOK ME ALMOST A WEEK TO GET EISENHOWER TO CORRECT THE NAME OF MY PRIMARY PHYSICIAN. THEY SENT INFORMATION TO AN OLD PHYSICIAN WHO I HAD STOPPED SEEING YEARS AGO BECAUSE SHE WAS INCOMPETENT. DR. CASSIM WAS RECOMMENDED TO ME BY MY STRENGTH TRAINER SO I'M SURE HE IS AS GOOD AS MY TRAINER SAYS. I JUST HAVEN'T HAD ENOUGH INTERACTION WITH HIM.. I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER MONTH BEFORE SEEING HIM AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION.

Finally relief after years of construction work
Dr Cassim has made a huge impact on my quality of life. The injections he has administered as well as the pain management plan that we are executing has kept me active and able to moderate my chronic back pain that has plagued me for decades. He and his staff have been available, pleasant and extremely easy to communicate with. Special shout out to his assistant,Janet Connelly, who is easily reached and very helpful. These folks are the best!

Highly recommend this compassionate doctor
I and my wife have been patients of Dr Cassim for several years. His compassionate, caring and professional approach to us has been a game changer in our lives. One time when my wife was hurting and down she broke down crying in his office. He gave her a long genuine hug reassuring her he would do all he could to help. Which is what he always does. Besides being what I consider to be top of his field,he connects in a very kind human way. I couldn’t recommend him any higher. The ONLY problem with him is he is so busy. Wait times between appointments can be long. But thats because he’s known as the best! Thank you Hasmir!

I first saw Cassim over 4 years ago for neck and lower back pain. Injections didn't work nor was I a candidate for nerve block. His PA, Guiles, suggested Hydrocodone, an opioid, so I agreed, that was 3 1/2 years ago. Now Cassim has cut me off the meds and told me to go to Loma Linda. What kind of doctor does this to a patient, basically cutting me off cold turkey. I reached out to patient coordinator at Eisenhower and she got him to give me two months supply. CDC emphatically states that you do not stop those meds "cold turkey". You can read that all over the internet. Because they don't make any money off of me by prescribing my Hydrocodone, they have sent me down the road. He has no compassion other that to make lots of money from procedures. He is a terrible doctor and just there for the $$

I fractured my spine in two places while moving furniture and thought it would it would heal on it's own. After two weeks, I called Dr. Cassim's office & they scheduled a consultation as quickly as possible. After meeting with Dr. Cassim, he ordered an MRI which confirmed for me that a Kyphoplasty procedure was my best approach to eliminating the chronic pain I had and getting back to my active life style. Without Dr. Cassim's intervention in getting me quickly scheduled for the procedure, and his outstanding team taking care of all details and follow-ups, I know I would continue be where I was eight weeks ago. He's the best! He's also my husband's doctor, and my husband thinks highly of this very professional team.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Cassim, PA Maryanne Dezelan and the entire staff at DOC. Dr. Cassim and PA Dezelan have gone above and beyond in finding ways to give me relief from a broken back that happened in 1985. I was at the point of nearly using a wheelchair the pain from standing walking, sleeping was becoming unbearable. Just recently though I had a pain pump implanted. So far it’s been amazing. I am still finding out what I can and can’t do. I suffer from MS as well and while the pump only targets my back I know now what to medicate for. I can tell you in all honesty that Dr. Cassim will work his hardest to make sure you are heard and they understand that your pain is REAL. You are ALWAYS treated with respect and compassion. I was at the end of my rope and now I have a chance at having a life again.

After reviewing my negative comments. I realized that he was sending me to the right doctor. But it was not explained to me by other doctors that he could not do the procedure I needed. So it was a miscommunication.

I have a very serious debilitating spinal cord disease and he didn’t even discuss it with me. I am now housebound but needed a pain specialist. He talked over me the whole 10 minutes & looked at my chart & the pain meds i’d been on and actually told me to go to & gave me names of places for REHAB! He was rude & condescending and i’m not well. Why must i leave even one star?
