Doctor great-CAMC tacking on facility fee now
Great visit. The billing department is slow and not helpful. The $206 facility fee now being charged is not disclosed to the patient or posted. This is in addition to your copay.

Long wait time for appointments
I was put on a cpap machine. I am supposed to see my Dr after 1 month of therapy. When I called for a appointment they said none was available until end of March. I chose to see her associate, which is still early March. We need sleep disorder doctors who can see us if problems arise. I'm frustrated with this. I don't know why this is a problem. I have issues with Narcolepsy and need to see my doctor. This is unacceptable

Arrogance in Action
Within the span of one thirty minute visit, Dr. Clawges asserted that the rheumatologist, neurologist, psychiatrist, and internalist that I have seen over a year for my inherited genetic syndrome, that is an acknowledged chronic pain condition, were all wrong. She suggested I use pain meds without any cognitive side effects. I asked for examples. She gave none. I asked my pharmacist who is well versed. He knows of none. She suggested I take up cognitive behavioral therapy for effective pain management. I do see a therapist trained in that specialty. Cognitive behavioral therapy is designed to identify and change negative or destructive thought patterns that result in undesirable behaviors. That means to me that Dr. Clawges believes my symptoms are psychosomatic. That is insulting and unfair. When I questioned her knowledge of the pain meds that I do utilize, she called me a highly combative patient. I find her opinionated, arrogant, and misinformed. That is unacceptable in my opinion.

She’s the sweetest, and her staff are just as kind. I always look forward to my appointments. They are quick appointments, but she does what needs done and that’s good enough for me.
