Cataract surgery
Dr. Heather Potter recently performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes, and I am extremely happy with the results. Dr. Potter helped me determine that the AcrySof IQ Vivity lens would be a good option for me and my circumstances. Although I had had previous eye surgeries, including LASIK surgery, I was still nervous to have cataract surgery...but Dr. Potter exudes confidence from the moment you meet her. She is such a good doctor - personal, professional, and efficient, and she loves what she does. And that's what you want in a doctor...someone who is reassuring and can openly tell you, on what are most likely non-stop days with office visits and surgeries, that they love what they do. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Heather Potter.

Excellent doctor - performed PRK for me
I had selected the UW Health Ophthalmology department to perform laser eye correction for me, and ended up working with Dr Potter. She was very pleasant to work with and did an excellent job with the surgery. I am very happy I chose UW Health and Dr Potter in particular. She is friendly and very professional.

I was extremely happy with Dr. Heather Potter’s treatment of the cataracts that had developed in both of my eyes. After she performed the surgery and set the follow-up schedule of treatments, I now have 20-20 visjon in both eyes ... and an attractive pair of frames (‘mod-red’) —, giving me a new lease on life and chances to see well while reading, driving, playing piano and cello, exercising, translating Norwegian mysteries, working inside and outside and so on. THANK YOU so much, Dr. Potter! Sigurd

Dr. Potter is truly amazing. I am incredibly happy with the result of my cataract surgeries and I was so glad to have her as my surgeon. I was extremely near sighted and had a fast growing cataract in each eye. It is amazing that I can see without correction. I still can't believe it. The multi-focal lens work great for me and I don't need my cheaters. While I was nervous about the procedure, Dr. Potter put me at ease and was so attentive to my concerns and questions. She is really a professional and so caring. Every step of the way was really outstanding. The surgeries went very smoothly and I enjoyed the way she assembled her team to be very efficient and yet have a good time. The surgery goes very quickly and I did not have any pain. My recovery went well also both times. As you can tell, I thought my experience with her was really wonderful. I can't recommend her enough to anyone looking for a caring professional. She changed my life for the better! Thanks Dr. Potter.

Six months ago, at the age of 65, I had the privilege of undergoing cataract surgery with Dr. Heather Potter. I subsequently received multifocal lens implants in both eyes, with surgery occurring two weeks apart. I cannot begin to express enough my thanks and gratitude to Dr. Potter and to her exceptional team for their professional and personal approach to my situation, exuding a sense of confidence along with fears relieved given their cutting edge expertise, knowledge, experience and contagious camaraderie. This commitment to quality care was evident from my first contact with reception on that very first consult visit, continuing through the "eye opening" and truly amazing surgical process and carrying through to the final post-op visit with Dr. Potter. Having worn eyeglasses since 3rd grade, I am now free of eyeglasses. I can still see Dr. Potter's enthusiasm and hear her voice saying "I just love what I do!" Thanks again Dr. Heather Potter and team.....I love what you do, too!!

I recently had 2 successful Cataract surgeries performed by Heather Potter, MD. The procedures were at the Madison Surgical Center in Madison, WI. Dr Potter is a very competent, personable, and caring surgeon. I am eternally grateful for the gift of clear sight and improved night vision she gave me. Both Cataract surgeries went flawlessly. I was very impressed with the efficiency of the surgery and the professionalism of Dr. Potter. I would also like to thank the outstanding group of nurses and technicians at the Madison Surgical Center and Dr Potter’s staff at the University Station clinic in Madison. I was treated very well throughout the procedure and I thank everyone for taking such great care of me.

Dr. Potter is very thorough and professional. She takes a lot of time in consultations and is willing to listen and answer each question. The information, instructions and follow up exams for cataract surgery were very specific and it is clear she is concerned for the each patient's outcome. The surgery itself was easy and painless; everything was explained in advance, and any anxiety taken care of. The result was so wonderful, I regret not doing it sooner. It's far easier than a colonoscopy!

Dr. Potter got me over my high level of anxiety about cataract surgery and made me feel as if I were the only patient she was treating. Having feared the first procedure, I am now eager to have the cataract removed from my other eye. Dr. Potter is a consummate professional who brings a personal touch to a process that can be intimidating. The results of my surgery are nothing short of amazing.
