Dr. Steele apparently has a problem with patients asking questions as I believe she views this as a challenge to her authority. In addition, she has trouble speaking on the patient’s level in a manner that is both clear and professional. I am glad she ‘fired’ me as a patient. This is too important to invest in a physician who cannot communicate in layman’s terms and does not appreciate patients who do their research.

Dr. Steele does what she thinks is best, but she tried to talk me into treatments, chemotherapy, etc., that I feel are not best for me. Her thinking is rigid and protocol-based. I had Stage 3 cancer and severe anemia. I had two surgeries and declined chemo for good reasons and declined IV iron. I did not go back to Dr. Steele after the first visit because she was rude to me and made me feel unwelcome because I did not want chemo. It has been a year since diagnosis. I am doing fine.

I absolutely loved Dr. Steele and had full confidence in her. She was thorough and very professional. She answered my questions and made sure every scan, test, or necessary medical attention was given to me in a quick and urgent manner. She did not try to sugar coat anything , but I felt very comfortable with her and felt she would do everything she could to determine the source of my cancer. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
