Dr. Hector Guevara-Garay, MD

I've been seeing Dr Guvara for a few years now. He listens and takes his time with you. I would definitely recommend him.

I have been going to Dr. Guevara for over 15 years now...he comes in to the viewing room to see you and the first thing he does is asks how are you with a big smile on his face.then he checks you oer and asks do you need anything includeing meds...he writes everything on his little computer and sends for your meds if you need a refill..then he leaves..then you go to the front of the office..where his staff is...there all really nice people in the front....if you need something special done they call Vanessa to help you out by getting other doctors to help you or even the hospital..there all really nice people in the front.... thx all Ron Hossler

I was a patient of Hector for about 2 years. During that entire time I saw him every quarter and he never so much as put a stethoscope to my chest! All he did was sit behind a laptop and take notes (or at least it seemed that was what he was doing) I went to see him in Oct 2020 having a problem with chest pain and swelling of my torso cavity and chest - hard to breath and a lot of other things - I was prescribed medications - this was the usual solution to any problem I had by Dr. Guevera! On November 16, 2020 I was admitted to the EMERGENCY ROOM at the local hospital in Zephyrhills, but they couldn't handle the problem so they transferred me to Tampa Bay Advent Hospital. The ER doctors asked me if I had previously spoken to my primary about this situation and I told them that I had even made an appointment to go see him about it - but when all he did was prescribe me a medication I picked up copies of all of my records (which I paid for and passed on to them) and told the front des

I never saw the Dr. Only the nurse practitioner who was new to the field and cared more about the insurance rules than anything else.

I loved his quiet demeanor his willingness to spend time with me the patient willing to explain things carefully in detail his willingness to answer my many questions and I found the reception staff friendly

I love Dr Guevara, however the office staff needs replaced. They talk to each other about you, give you a hard time if they don't like you, like anything you need they won't do and they tell you must come in to see the doctor to get it done, when you were just there 2 weeks ago, and the doctor knows everything that's going on with you and your needs. They are incompetent, back stabbers, two faced, vendictive, they make up rules as they seem fit, and have not one reason to be working in such a prominent DOCTORS office. I've never seen such office staff incapabilities and disregard for patients in my 40 years of being seen by doctors.

He doesn't keep up with with your needed appointments with specialist. He doesn't go over recent labs. Such as infections.

The staff is very unprofessional, they couldn’t even schedule an appointment right, on top of that I have never even seen the doctor the times I’ve been there. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, you will want to punch the staff in the face.

Dr Guevara is by far the best doctor that I have ever had. He is very knowledgeable and in most cases can find out what your prognosis is before your specialty doctors finally get around to it. He actually cares about his patients and takes the time that you need with him. Since he takes time with each individual patient wait times will vary. You just have to remember that while it's your turn for the DR others are waiting. Excellent doctor.

Drs care this man doesnot ..would not recommend

I would not recommend this drs office. Been going there 10 years because I don't like change, but they are so unprofessional. The staff will speak badly about patients behind their back to other (specialist) officeuhhs and haven't seen anyone other than PA in over a year. They never have your problems noted on your file and very very rarely will they send you to a specialist, just keep prescribing more meds on top of other meds.,& difficult to get refills on diabetes meds, even after recent appt

The doctor was very thorough upon initial appointment establishing him as my new PCP. The rude and unprofessional office staff is NEVER worth compromising your health care. It concerns me greatly that patients are being treated so poorly. I am medically complex and have children that are medically complex. This office is by far, the worst experience I have ever had. Although Dr. Guevarra's office is a 10 minute drive from my current residence, I plan to drive 45-50 minutes to my previous PCP.

I had a prescription on hold with this office due to me not needing it right away. I was for my cholesterol to lower it. In the past I had a bad experience and told them I was going to look for a new Dr. now I am ready to fill my RX due to running out and needing it now I call and find out that I am no longer a patient there. Because I mentioned I was not happy about something and saying I was going to look for another Dr. which I did not do. I never got anything from them telling me about it

He's thorough and cares about his patients. Very competent and listens to everything you say. I feel like I'm a person, not just a number.
