Dr Malave Saved My Life
Was fortunate he was on call on an early Sunday morning when I had a heart attack. He put a stent in a 99% blocked LAD (very difficult) and has been an incredible care giver over the last several months— a tremendous source of information, knowledge, instruction, and direction. Thanks to Dr. Malave’s skill and genuine care for my well-being, I am on the road to a much healthier and longer life. I owe him my life.

I had a great experience in this office, both with the staff and with Dr. Malave. I felt he listened to me, that's important! He scheduled a thorough battery of tests. The technicians for my stress test were WONDERFUL! Made me feel at ease in an otherwise "stressful" situation.

New patient, Fairly quick appointment, no long wait time, Ordered stress testing, in 1 week had a Stent put in. After that he didn't seem interested in my questions or concerns. Told me to go to urgent care or ER if pain persisted. I expected him to help me out NOT an ER, after all, it had only been 2 days since my procedure. Attitude was he was finished and any problems I had someone else could deal with it. Bedside manner 0. Maybe old school, but I need Dr who is interested in me as a patient and a person.

He’s competent and smart. He sticks strictly to blood work and the heart even if something else related could be lethal - “well, it’s not your heart (causing the problem). He then washes his hands of getting to the other problem... AND he’s also a board certified Internist!

Dr Malave saved my life back in 2011 when I had a severe blockage in my LAD. I was very sad that the Army moved me away from Georgia and I had to find a new cardiologist. He is the definition of a professional and is the standard for any cardiologist I see today. If I’m ever so lucky to be back that way, he’s first on my list as my cardiology provider.

Dr. Malave felt that I had a coronary artery blockage, but my insurance company disagreed and was unwilling to authorize a procedure. Dr. Malave went to bat for me, and ultimately my insurance company relented. As matters developed, Dr. Malave was correct in his diagnosis and a significant blockage was found and corrected. Dr. Malave quite literally saved my life. I have nothing but high regards for him and his staff.
