Dr. Hector Salazar, MD

Dr. Salazar took my concerns seriously and was aggressive with my treatment. I am so grateful for his thoroughness. He explained things very well as did my nurse, Jaime. I am very grateful for his help and for what seemed to be genuine compassion. He has a very gentle bedside manner which I appreciated because it calmed me while I was in significant pain. Dignity on Germann was a great experience from beginning to end. Highly recommend

On Sunday afternoon I went into the Dignity ER on Germann for chest tightness and arm pain. The nursing staff was great. Dr Salazar was great too. My EKG was normal, my X-ray was normal. My enzyme reading what was minimally high at .05 and then 4 hours later was .07 What made me angry was he wanted me to go inpatient to a hospital for continued testing. I knew this was wrong. I knew he was just covering up for liability reasons. And because of that, he wanted me to go sit in an ER waiting room through the night, get checked in to do one more test. So instead, I declined the inpatient recommended Instructions. they then told me I was going against medical advice. I didn’t really care. I just knew this was wrong. So on Tuesday I went to a cardiologist and he confirmed that everything was fine. He also confirmed my suspicions. He said that from .05 to .07 is within a margin of error for the test meaning, there was no basis to send me to a hospital. Very good until the end.
