Dr. Heeral Mehta, MD

This Dr does not like to listen or review notes about your case.Gave me wrong Prescription Advice confirmed by my Cardiologist and PCP.I had a Stroke and met her in the Hospital. She did not address that fact. Gave minimal and wrong Stroke info. Did not answer my questions. I left there not really knowing why I was there. She yelled at me because I used the term 'mini stroke' . Which I learned from Stroke Booklet the Hospital gave me.All she could say was go and get your Eyes checked for Detached Retina or Macular Degeneration. Which of course I did,to rule that out. And it was ruled out.Luckily I am intelligent enough to advocate for myself. I called my Cardiogist and saw himAsap.Then my PCP, who totally agreed with Cardiologist. Neither cared for info from Dr Metha.Get another Neurologist!!

The doctor took time to learn what could be the cause of my headache and didn't rush me out the door. When I suffered from side effects to one of the medications, they immediately worked with my insurance co. to have another one approved. I cannot recommend Dr. Mehta and her staff enough. The only negative is that they are so busy that the appointment they give you is so far away.

Dr. Mehta takes the time to ask questions to try to find the root cause of the problem. She is concerned about patient quality of life. All of the staff I have interacted with have been genuinely kind and helpful.

I had my initial consult with Dr Mehta and she didn't offer any information or details regarding my questions about the headaches I've been experiencing. I never recevied a call with the test results from the MRI that was done. During the appointment, it almost felt like she didn't want to be there and didn't really want to listen to what I was saying.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Mehta after multiple hospital stays, I was going to see her for new-onset seizures. I have multiple chronic medical issues that I have been dealing with since 2005. My wife brought me there in my wheelchair, I was barely alert and unable to respond. My wife said the office staff was nice and accommodating, as was the nurse. The nurse who came in prior to the doctor evaluated me spoke with my wife regarding my meds and took my vital signs and my blood pressure was 64/50. The doctor came in shortly thereafter and asked my wife for my history but didn't care to listen to any of it, then she proceeded to yell at me, who was essentially unconscious. she was extremely rude to my wife and even insinuated that she drugged me prior to the appointment. she told my wife that my 20 years of illness and my new onset of seizures were all in my head and I needed to go to therapy and that would cure me. at the end of the appointment, the nurse came back in and redid

I know of Dr. Mehta through my younger daughter, who is a patient, so I wanted to schedule my oldest daughter to be checked for the migraines she's been getting lately, The office wanted to give me sometime in JANUARY, 2022, for new a patient. Mind you, it is September 8, 2021. All I could say was NO, She's having bad migraines now! UNREAL!

Worst neurologist ever! Knows nothing about headaches and treatment for them. When inpatient wouldn’t listen to my headache specialist out of the same group! Calls patients drug addicts and says no amount of treatment will work for them! Doesn’t deserve to be practicing medicine!
