On Oct 31, 2017, during a pelvic exam and Pap smear, Dr. Knickerbocker came into the exam room visibly agitated by the parking conflict her practice was involved in. When she removed the speculum, she turned it slightly against the righthand wall of my vagina, causing me physical pain. By that evening, I was in so much pain I couldn't sleep. The next day, I called the practice and they asked me to come in for a checkup. Dr. Knickerbocker came into the room and said loudly, "I am sorry this happened to you. I've never heard of anything like this. Maybe I hit a nerve." She opened the door of the exam room while I was naked from the waist down and in the stirrups, and called out to an assistant to bring a medication. She was inappropriate in conversation during the first exam, discussing my son's choices for college, saying if he wanted to "meet a lot of virgins" he could choose PLU. The injury she caused me resulted in my needing 6 months of invasive physical therapy.
