I would highly recommend him!
Dr. Hakiman has been my colorectal surgeon since 2019. He has literally saved my life twice since then. He recently took care of me for a serious colon issue that I am still recovering from. I can't emphasize enough how him and his office take the time to listen and care about your healing process. Again I would highly recommend him and would like to thank him for all he has done for me.

Dr Hakiman's kindness
I went to see Dr. Hakiman to seek advice on an external hemorrhoid as 1st visit. When Dr. saw that blood clot called thrombosed hemorrhoid, he explained the problem I have and did a quick surgery to remove the blood clot. I would appreciate Dr. Hakiman's professional and kindness very much.

My favorite surgeon
Dr. Hakiman was willing to take me on as a patient after other surgeons declined to operate on me. Ulcerative Colitis wrecked me colon. I had to have emergency surgery to remove most of my colon which was performed by another surgeon. I then had a J-Pouch constructed by yet another surgeon which resulted in a temporary ileostomy. No other surgeons wanted to operate to remove the ileostomy since I was considered a complicated case but after reviewing my information, Dr. Hakiman agreed to go forward with the surgery. After many visits to him for tests and procedures, I felt as though I formed a bond with him because I felt like he genuinely cared about me and my well being. Since I got to a point where I no longer needed to see him, I felt sad that I wouldn't be seeing him on a regular basis anymore. It's hard to find physicians where you feel that they truly care about you and your well-being. Highly recommend!

Dr Hakiman is an amazing surgeon who made this process very straightforward for me. He performed a colectomy due to a large polyp and bowel endometriosis. I was able to eat regular food within days and the recovery has been very smooth. He cares about his patients and I highly recommend him if you need colon surgery.

Dr. Hakiman performed a robotic sigmoid colectomy on me for chronic divertiulitis. This was an elective surgery that I decided to undergo after having had eight uncomplicated diverticulitis episodes in the past sixteen years. I spent only two nights in the hospital and started eating soft foods by day 2 of my recovery. It is now two weeks after surgery, and I have had no complications. In fact, because this surgery was minimally invasive, I can pretty much go back to living my normal life again at this point (except for doing heavy physical labor, for which I have to wait a few more weeks.) Dr Hakiman has performed over 500 DaVinci-assisted colon resections. Additionally, he has a kind and caring demeanor that really helped to ease my anxiety. I highly recommend him to others who are considering this type of procedure.

Dr. Hakiman is an amazing surgeon. From the minute he came into the room for my first visit I felt completely comfortable with him. He has such a gentle spirit that put me at ease and answered all my questions. He went over my prior medical report, labs and CTScans very thoroughly. He then explained about the cancer and the surgery he would perform. The morning of the surgery he visited me in the preop room which was a huge comfort being able to see and talk to him prior to the surgery. After the surgery he visited me in my room and talked about exactly what he found and the details of the surgery he performed. He removed lymnodes, and a portion of my kidney and did a restructure of the rectum. After the surgery I had NO pain with the exception of the 4 small incisions which were tight and made it hard to move around. How I had no pain from the surgery still amazes me and speaks to what an incredible surgeon he is. I would highly recommend him to anyone going through colon cancer.

I sat in the exam room for almost an hour with no pants on then gave up and left. It was a follow-up visit so I thought maybe they would call me the next day and offer to work me in but - No. Dr. Hakiman banded me and I'm bleeding more now than I was before.

I needed surgery and Dr Hakiman was great in our preop visit and answered our questions. His office staff did a good job preparing me for the procedure. My surgery turned out to be more complicated than anticipated but Dr Hakiman was still able to perform the procedure through the scope. My recovery has gone amazingly well. I didn’t need any pain meds after discharge. I could eat normally within a few days. The incisions have healed really well.

Dr. Hakiman is professional and personable. He even spoke to me about my job for a moment one time. My favorite thing about him is that he is a great doctor and makes me feel very comfortable. I was scared, nervous and in pain when I visited him with an abscess near my anus. He confirmed that I will be okay and that we are doing the right thing by having surgery so it doesn't get worse. Eight days later I was lying on the operating table. I had surgery and I was surprised; the incision was very small. It seemed to be just the right size for him to remove the abscess and see where it came from. We didn't know the seriousness of the abscess upfront before surgery, but Dr. Hakiman and his staff not only gauged my expectations accurately in the beginning, but they were comforting, understanding and pleasant.
