Unprofessional & Rushed Patient Care
First time patient seeing Doctor Kim. I went for ear wax removal, she was going to let me leave the office after partially removing the wax. When I asked her to continue removing all the wax she rolled her eyes and said “Fine we’ll do it.” She then stuck a camera down my nostrils, I asked her to stop and she scoffed at me. I’m assuming she wanted to bill me for an additional procedure after taking up extra time. I paid a $40 copay which was not worth the rushed patient care I received. After leaving the office I received a pharmacy call about a medication she prescribed which she did not mention during my office visit.

Never saw the doctor
Made and confirmed appointment on line. Upon arrival I was informed that the doctor was notseeing patients today. Staff was extremely rude and condescending. Couldn't care less that I took an unpaid day off work. I will never go back again.

This doctor prescribed my daughter an antibiotic she's allergic to. Because it was a generic, my daughter didn't recognize the name and wound up in the emergency room. I don't give one-star reviews lightly, but if I could rate this practice zero stars I would. I don't care how nice, professional seeming, caring, fast, or courteous a doctor is if I can't trust them with my health.

If you like fast food, you'll love dr. kim
I was rushed through, given long term expensive prescriptions (that could have been purchased cheaper over the counter) that I didn't need and given a battery of tests. On one test the machine must have malfunctioned and indicated i was deaf in my left ear. Instead of simply talking to me on my left side & then right side to see if the machine was accurate she sent me for an expensive MRI that showed NO problem. They tried to get me to sign a form that seemed to indicate that she would (not just could) send me to an out of plan specialist (in a brief sentence or so, hidden in the text it said I could seek an in-plan specialist) and that I would be responsible for the costs. When I protested, the receptionist said she didn't think I could be seen without signing, but I was, but they threw out the other 7 forms that i did sign) I felt like I was being talked at, rushed through and not professionally treated.

Worth the wait
Through. I went to see her for various symptoms. She was through. Her office sent my referrals and followed up as needed. Her staff is welcoming and assisted me with getting myself a wheelchair user into the faculty. She does have an elevator however, I don't recommend you trying to bring a large premobil type of chair. The elevator was tight with my Manual wheelchair with power assist. There will be a wait!! She also does Televisits.

Cancelled surgery 3 times,
My surgery was cancelled 3 times, causing problems with my job at the hospital needing time off and changing shifts and have to return to tell them it was cancelled 3 times. The first I was texted the night before ( no call or explanation). The second a week before they call. Today the 3rd time I get a phone call from her office 2 hours before hand telling me that they never got an answer from the health insurance company if it was approved or denied. They had 5 months to check up on it and then say if it is not approved I will have to just pay for the surgery. I checked they never even put the request in. The incompetence of this office is staggering. I have lost $ 5,000 in income from shifts I have had to take off. There is zero empathy by the office in any capacity. They leave you on hold for 20mins and then hanged up on me 5 times to rebook the procedure today. It is truly the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Unsatisfactory
Made an appointment to see Dr Kim last year to no avail (so typical as we were told) and we saw a Physician Assistant instead who could not perform a simple procedures of removing wax. A year later 2022 we receive a bill with procedures added which were never performed. Now we go to the Teleport on South Ave, Staten Island where there are a group of qualified ENT's

I checked my insurance with office before making an appointment. I got there early, waited my turn and was turned down when they saw my insurance card and told me they didnt take my insurance. Total waste of my time and now I can wait another few days that I waited to see this dr to now see another one while my infection grows.

Went to doctor for a pimple on the exterior of my ear at the ear lobe. Billed insurance for a nasal operation and ear check. NEVER, NEVER touched, looked at or scoped my nose. 2 minutes with PA and was told the pimple was infected, given RW for antibiotic. Called office about bill and basically told too bad you need to pay. BEWARE

Dr.Kim is a horrible doctor and does not care about her patients. She is always in a rush and never answers any questions or explain anything to you. You leave with the same problem you came in with. My advice is do not waste your time and go to this doctor, she will not help you.

Helen Kim failed to diagnose me with AERD, a respiratory disease that includes nasal polyps, asthma, and NSAID sensitivity. I had two surgeries to remove the polyps and they came back shortly after surgery, and it should have occurred to her that what I had was more serious/complicated. I asked her about AERD looking for answers and she dismissively said “oh you don’t have that” without looking into it at all. After several more doctors I discovered I did have it, and felt so horribly gaslighted. Maybe she would have diagnosed me if she actually wasn’t rushing out the door in every appointment. I’ve never waited so long to see a doctor and had such a short appointment. She literally has one foot in the exam room and another out the door. I’m not usually inclined to leave bad reviews and mess with people’s business but this doctor is one of the worst I have ever encountered and I want to caution others to never go to her. She is lazy, money hungry, and doesn’t care about her patients.

Dr Helen Kim is a THIEF!!!!!!!!!!!! She will charge you for things she does not do - and when you refuse to pay she will send it to a collection agency. Its FRAUD of patient AND the Insurance company. I went in for ear wax removal. She did that - then asked if she could look up my nose - She never told me she would charge Or I would have told her hell no for that and all she did was look up with a light for less than 5 seconds and charged over 300.00 for that. And called it an endoscopy - I know what an endoscopy is and what she did was NOT it. SHES A COMMON THIEF!!!!!! FIND A DOCTOR WHO LIVE THE HIPPOCRATIC OATH - TO FIRST DO NOT HARM. If I could she would get a minus 10 stars - therefore she gets nothing. Not even one star.

Put it this way (coming from a19 yr old).... Anyone who left a review with more than ONE star got lucky... She's all about that money! IDK if she's bad at hiding it or she just doesn't care, but she is as useless as her "nose cam" ONE STAR = POOR (this isn't an opinion, it's a fact)

The office is clean and staff is very nice. Waiting time is not bad, sometimes I’ve wait 30 minutes but some others my waiting tima was 0. Dr Kim is a very kowledgeable physician, I appreciate her kindness and how she takes time to check any affected area and anything around. Obviously ear, nose and throat are connected so she has to check more than your affected area.

Went to dr.kim for a swollen tonsil. Waited an hour in waiting room. called into patient room. waited another 25 minutes. Didn't even look at my throat. Stuck a nasal camera thru my nose cavity . I found out this procedure that only takes20 seconds made her $350 from my insurance. Then she wiped it off with a napkin. Disgusting. Did absolutely nothing to help me. Complete waste of my time and money. Stay away from this incompetent doctor.
