Horrible listening skills and bedside manners
Dr. Helen Lee was very rude and not professional at all. She did not want to answer any of my questions. I had to keep asking her questions and she’ll reluctantly answer them by referring me to the cosmetologist. I kept telling her that I’m not looking for cosmetic changes, and my questions are for the dermatologist to understand why my body is leaving marks and the marks not going away. I explained to her that I do not have an appointment with the cosmetologist and he has a big waiting list, and I am here to see the dermatologist. After I barely finished asking my questions, she just walked out and slammed the door without even asking me if I was done or telling me she was done, so I waited by myself another ten minutes in the room not knowing I was free to go until a staff came in to clean it. Dr Lee behaved as if she was a newly graduate and she just started seeing patients now. She needs better training, just having the Dr license won’t make her a Dr.

Dr. Helen Lee was very rude and not professional at all. She did not want to answer any of my questions. She kept walking towards the door not even asking me if I have any question. I had to keep asking her questions and she opened the door about twice trying to leave the room and kept reluctantly answering my questions by telling me to ask the cosmetologist. I kept telling her that I’m not looking for cosmetic changes, and my questions are for the dermatologist to understand why my body is leaving marks and the marks not going away. I wanted to understand the cause, but for some reason she kept referring me to the cosmetologist. I explained to her that I do not have an appointment with the cosmetologist and he has a big waiting list, and I am here to see the dermatologist; however, she kept referring me back to the cosmetologist again and again. After I barely finished asking my questions, she just walked out and slammed the door without even asking me if I was done, super horrible bedside manners! Because she just walked out without telling me she was done, I waited by myself another ten minutes in the room not knowing I was free to go. It wasn’t until the staff came to the room to clean it that she told me I could leave. Even the doctor staff was better trained than Dr Lee. Dr Lee behaved as if she was a newly graduate and she just started seeing patients now. She needs better training, just having the Dr license won’t make her a Dr. I do not recommend her at all!

Very attentive care
I found Dr. Lee to be very attentive and knowledgable. She took the time to explain my condition and made sure that I understood my options to the best of my ability. She is very sharp and made me feel very confident in the plan that was laid out. She works very well with her office staff and it is very clear that they enjoy working with her. I was initially very nervous due to the uncertainty of my condition but overall it was a very pleasant experience and helped me feel very reassured.

Best primary care doctor
I have been with Dr. Lee for a few years now. She is the only PCP that I have had that has paid attention to my extensive medical issues. Very patient.

The Worst Experience
Dr. Helen spent a mere 30 seconds (perhaps even less) examining my skin issue, without even taking a proper look at the specific area I had mentioned. Her impatience and evident frustration in responding to questions were concerning.

I took my son for a minor skin issue. Dr. Helen spent 3 minutes explaining what it is and wrapped up the visit. She was impatient and seemed frustrated to answer questions. At a minimum we expected her to answer all our questions and explain the options. After doing some research I found out that there are a few non-surgical options. Dr. Helen did not mention any of these - overall very dissatisfied.

Dr. Lee is professional and very pleasant. She had to remove a deep severe mole from me and did an excellent job in keeping me relaxed and comfortable. Her stitch work is exceptional and I'm all healed. Her assistant Natalie removed the stitches 12 days later and also did an excellent job in explaining the process and explained my continued care for the scar. I'm very pleased with Dr. Lee and Natalie. Thank you!!

My mother is a pt of Dr. Helen Lee at Presby. My mother is over 75yo and was not feeling well. She called Dr. Lee's office and spoke with her service. My mother asked if she would get a phone call back that day because she feared going to the ED due to covid19. They assured her she would. She waited all day and no return call. She called back the following day and the next and no return call. Finally, I had to take her to the ED where they found that she was very sick. I find it hard to believe that Dr. Lee did not get my mothers 3 "high priority" messages. My mom got a phone call back 7 days later asking if she'd like an appointment. No follow up from a nurse, NP, or PA, and not Dr. Lee herself. She was Dr. Lee's pt in the ED and they found something significant. Why was there no follow up!! This is unacceptable from a hospital such as Penn-Presby and Dr. Lee.

We changed GI specialist to Dr Lee and it was the best decision we ever made. Dr Lee takes the time to explain every option and gives you the opportunity to choose which option you prefer to take. She is very knowledgeable and thorough. She has a wonderful bedside manner and is always quick to respond to any questions or concerns via email. Highly recommend Dr Lee
