Dr. Helen knows what she is doing. She is professional and I trust her to treat my sons. She is a very caring kind doctor who is serious about treating children correctly and I would highly recommend her. All the times I've been to her office, her diagnosis and treatments have been correct.

This doctor is unprofessional. Her curt tone is completely unprofessional. Her bedside manner leaves parents feeling as if they are completely incompetitent. It is so discouraging to be mocked by a physician. Stay away from this doctor.

Beware parents who want to see Dr. Shin! She should not be a pediatric doctor/dermatologist because she just is not compassionate for a child. And she has a bad bedside manner. I have a 8 month daughter with an atopic dermatitis. As soon as she saw her, she used a condescending tone on me saying this is the worst it can get and I have to use a strong steroid. I already tried two steroids but nothing worked, so I told her I am against using it. Then, she coldly told me not to come back.

Dr Shin is absolutely amazing. She has been treating my son since he was 6 months old and he's 8 now. His primary dr was unable to effectively treat his eczema and right away Dr Shin not only improved his condition, but managed to control it and his skin is beautiful. While it may wax and wane, her treatment is always spot on and it clears up right away. She also treated him for another common skin rash that children get and completely got rid of it after 1 attempt, where his regular dr didn't.

Over the years, I have taken my son to several dermatologists. Since he has been a patient of Dr Shins over the last few years, we have finally seen immense improvement in his condition. While most dermatologists guess and suggest treatment after treatment, she knows what she is talking about at the onset and hit the correct therapy on the head. She made recommendations that worked every time. This is very rare in dermatology and I recommend her to everyone. In addition, she is patient and kind.
