I was her neighbor in High School. I have always been impressed by her caring and compassionate heart! If i were living back in Minnesota, i would trust my mental health, with none other, than Ms. Helen. So glad you made it, "Up Where We Belong"! ?? I would trust her, with my very Life! Not many i can say that about!

Dr. Wood was able to understand my chronic medical diagnoses. She talked to my oncologist and helped my other doctors find better medications that did not interfere with a very successful medication to treat my bipolar illness. I spent months being depressed and because Dr. wood took the time to understand all parts of my life, the quality of my life improved. Her appointments could not be more helpful. It is worth the wait to get on her schedule. She was always on time for the appointments. She made a quick pivot to telehealth.

I have never received such compassionate care. She was knowledgable and helpful in managing my bipolar illness. She took time to understand my life. She was always engaged in visits. She reviewed past medical records so that what did not work to treat my illness was not tried again. The office staff was efficient. I never had to wait more than a few minutes for any of my appointment times. I feel she has made a long term commitment to be my psychiatrist. It is so reassuring to have the same provider. I trust her. She made it clear that refills were not done on weekends or holidays. She expects and should to be paid for her services.

She was extremely rude when I went to see her. The medication she had prescribed me was not working and giving me side effects, and she literally said to me "I don't know why you are here" when I was explaining that the medication she prescribed me was not working and that I wanted to try something else. Not to mention she has a rude attitude and is judgemental.

Dr Wood is caring and compassionate. She’s concerned, not only about patient’s mental health, but assesses your physical being in a way similar to an Internist...I found her very familiar with my condition, and very helpful in resolving it

Dr. Wood claims to have a specialty in addiction treatment but is 100% focused on writing prescriptions - zero attention to the broader issue. Prescriptions are also her main revenue generating activity. She suggested I see a therapist... but only had one business card of someone who worked in Monticello. When I told her I didn't like AA - she said that there were other options - but she didn't know what they were really, or if there were any around. Minimum help

In a three day time period, they didn't return my or my pharmacy's phone request for a refill. The receptionist had a refill on file and stated I should still have medication available. The prescription was written for a lower dose than what she recommended taking (acknowledged this was on file). I was told for months I would be informed of my payment and delayed the follow-up until that was received. Completely out of medication, they said my only option was to wait several weeks to be seen.

That's interesting... I met her when she was working in her other specialty of psychiatry. She seemed friendly, nice, and talkative. I am a nice woman that previously got help for depression. I found out she had insulted me and others on the web, but that was her opinion. We were surprised at her labelling. She left me upset, frightened, and embarrassed. My family and friends were concerned about her remarks. She came to my home with questions and took a picture. The prescription helped.

She is rude, arrogant and doesn't listen well. She not only prescribed against what is recommended for first line of treatment in Clinical Pharmacology but it was the most expensive medicine available. I called her the next day and she said all medicine for this condition is expensive. I did all the leg work, called my insurance and found a comparable med for $20 for a 30 day supply instead of the $800 med and She still didn't listen and interupted often. Unprofessional and office is a dump.
