Dr. Helene Erickson, MD

I’ve been seeing Dr Erickson for many years due to recurring skin cancer. She is the best doctor that I’ve had since dealing with this over the past 15 or so years. I was working in Pensacola for a few years and drove back to see Dr Erickson. She is thorough, takes her time with you, and I trust her medical decisions.

Dr. Erickson is always very professional and listens to my concerns. In the past I have had a diagnosis that makes it necessary to have full body checkups every 6 months. I always leave my appointment feeling positive.

Dr Erickson is a competent doctor who I have seen for the last 3 yrs. She takes her time with the exam and I am confident that I am getting the best care possible. I have spent a great deal of time in the outdoors and have seen various dermatologists over the years. Dr Erickson is , in my opinion, the most thorough.

Dr. Erickson is very knowledgeable about skin disorders. She does a thorough exam and discusses her findings, then gives you her thoughts about what should be done. She has a very professional bedside manner and a gentle touch.

Dr Erickson is a wonderful and caring doctor. She is very thorough.

So kind, caring, proficient at her skills. If you are looking for someone who listens, performs a complete examination. She is wonderful. Has found 3 squamous cell carcinomas and numerous keratosis that was missed by another facility. I absolutely love the care she provides.

I was treated extremely well. The staff was very caring.. they saw to my comfort & calmed my worries of the procedure.

Dr Erickson is an amazing provider. She has been treating my teenage son for cystic acne for 2 years. She has a way about her that makes my son comfortable in all aspects of dermatology medicine. He truly feels comfortable with her, openly discussing his care plan and allowing him to be a part of it. She's truly been a blessing.

Best dermatologist in the area always kind and professional. She is VERY thorough in her exams and treats you VERY KINDLY. She hasn't missed a spot yet and has probably added years to my life by catching them in a timely manner. She always has the time to listen and she ask all the right questions. When she finds something out of the ordinary she explains in a way that you understand what needs to happen and then she makes it happen for you. I've been to several dermatologist in the Slidell area and by far I liked Dr Erickson the best. She had a great bedside manner, did a thorough exam and I was not kept waiting very long. I highly recommend her.

skin was itching all over. Dr. Erickson would not give me medicine. She insisted scraping then taking a plug of my skin and didnt even tell me what she was really doing. I had no idea she was going to cut me and i would have stitches. I had a planned event out of town in the next week. I ask her to call me about results and prescription.2 weeks later with Five days and me calling and she never called me. Brenda her nurse is rude and never returns calls. Another doc gave cream that fixed in 4 day

She is nice, and probably knowledgeable, but it is impossible to communicate with her a . In addition she is surrounded by inefficient, and very rude nurses, which make the whole experience a nightmare. The appointments are 'selected' as cosmetic, depending in arbitrary variables, except for the first one, of course, which does not leave a feeling of transparency. Besides, the medicine for my treatment was lacking 20% of it, with no plausible explanation.No, I will not recommend this doctor.

Dr. Erickson is very thorough, leaving no spot unnoticed. She was very professional while also being gracious during my appointment, taking time for my questions and concerns. (Much unlike other Dermatologists who rushed thru an exam, like I was on an assembly line on overdrive.). I would not hesitate to recommend her to my friends and family.

I am very pleased with the care I receive from Dr. Erickson and her staff. My hands were in terrible shape when I started seeing her and they are essentially healed now. I was miserable and couldn't work but she was aggressive in treating my condition and it improved fairly quickly. Her office called me back when I had questions or concerns She.s made a real difference for me and she genuinely cares about how I am doing. I would highly recommend her.

If you want good and friendly service with explanations from doctor, do NOT go here. The doctor " froze" something without explaining or asking permission and then I leave and don't even know if I have cancer. Her nurse, Brenda, rudely rushed me out even though I had questions about the pre cancer she found. Plus I had to wait 40 minutes in a cold room with a hospital gown on.
