DrG was my assigned psychiatrist for 7 days during the most traumatic experience of my life. He failed me in the most epic way that a doctor could fail their patient. He made no effort to listen to me, to help me, or to even act with one ounce of compassion or empathy. Over 7 days he spent a max of 10 minutes with me, and with that, took away my power, autonomy, and voice. He made the decisions for my life, my marriage, my children, and my future, of which I will be dealing with the repercussions for years to come. He torched my life with barely a thought. As I move on from this trauma, I want others to be aware of the incredible power that Dr G had over my life and with how little regard he used that power. He treated me as a form, not as a HUMAN BEING. A doctor who does not make efforts to better the broken mental health system in this country does not need to be practicing in mental health.

This doctor lies to keep patients under his care to get more insurance money. We are filing a claim with the AMA for a complete review of his patient files at RidgeView Institute. Dr. Gunawardhana will ask if you’re sleeping good and if you say no because you have a mental patient screaming all night he will use this to keep you for an additional 72 hours and start over. He comes in around noon each day and sees patients for less than 5 min and makes his professional diagnosis. He needs to be stripped of his medical license. He is aiding in the kidnapping of patients and keeping them hostage at RidgeView all for insurance money. Charlatan posing as a medical doctor.

Was asked several times to arrive early for new patient paperwork. Complied. An hour after my appointment was set to begin, the doctor was just calling the person whose appointment was before mine. No one ever warned me or explained they were running behind at all. After waiting an hour and forty minutes, I decided not to wait another 45, canceled my appointment, and left. I'm insulted by the callous disregard for the value of my time after being so insistent that I take pains to respect theirs.
