Dr. Henry Katz, MD

To begin with, Dr. Katz was over 30 mins late to the appointment - and I was the first one in the office! No apology, no reason (hit a lot of traffic?). Then he told me I was using words to describe my situation that he did not understand (yes, they were medical terms!) and that I was "making him feel like I didn't need him." REALLY?? Using medical terms intimidates him? And last but not least, he spent all of 5 minutes with me, wrote me a prescription for bloodwork, and moved on to the other patients whose appointments were also 30 minutes behind schedule. Needless to say, I won't be going back and would never recommend him.

Excellent. Started in the ER at Saint Johns Riverside Hospital for constipation. After multiple non-invasive procedures I required a colonoscopy to determine that my system was cleared. Dr. Katz and his team did a great job. No pain, discomfort, and quickly returned to my room and release from the hospital.

I did my own research when looking for a gastroenterologist and I am so glad the reviews I found about Dr. Katz were 100% right. He was wonderful. He is patient and calm. Spoke to me in terms that I could understand. Explained everything thoroughly. My procedures were done at the hospital in Dobbs Ferry. Everything was so clean and well organized. They were waiting for me as if I was the most important person of the day. I cannot say enough about how well my experience was.

Great doctor! Even though he is very busy, he is never rushed. He gives plenty of time to answer questions and allay any concerns. Endoscopy/colonoscopy procedure at St. Johns is painless and worry-free (I gag even if I just see a tongue depressor). If you have gastroenterology problems see Dr. Katz!

Dr. Katz is easy to talk with, thorough and compassionate. He puts his patients at ease and is highly competent. A colonoscopy isn't my favorite thing to have done, but I'm glad he's the one doing it. (My dermatologist is one of his patients.)

The office staff was friendly and professional. Dr. Katz very professional and reassuring. Explained everything very clearly. Great bedside manner.
