Dr. Henry Kaufman IV, MD

Dr . Kaufman was very professional, thorough, and caring when explaining my husband’s pancreatic cancer diagnosis. This was a very scary time of course for us both having heard the seriousness and low survival rate of this type of cancer. He took his time to explain to us the procedure involved with the Whipple surgery and gave us confidence in his ability to perform this life saving surgery. It’s been 8 years since my husband had the Whipple Surgery and when the cancer came back 1 and 1/2 year later, Dr. Kaufman was once again called upon to this time remove my husband’s pancreas, gallbladder, spleen, and a small portion of his stomach. My husband would not be here today if not for Dr. Kaufman!

I couldn’t have asked for more personal and exceptional treatment. Dr. Kaufman explained in detail what to expect from my surgical procedure. His staff is very welcoming. The only reason for wait-time delay was because he came in on a off day to see me. Didn’t mind the wait on this non-appointment day. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of a general surgeon specialist in oncology care.

Dr. Kaufman assured me on my very first visit that he had me covered. He assured me that I would beat breast cancer. I love this man to the greatest heights. He has a warm and friendly office staff and I felt safe and welcomed from my first visit. He is awesome and had the most professional but warm bedside manner. He relaxed you and talks to you one on one in an assured manner that lets you know that he’s got this cancer conquered. I know from day one these people were faithful Christians on a mission. owe my new found life to Dr. Henry Kaufman and staff.

I had a double mastectomy with Dr Kaufman 5 years ago. I have referred many friends to him. He is a perfectionist and christian. Two huge qualities for me dealing with advanced breast cancer that had rooted itself into my chest wall 2 weeks before my 50th birthday.The teamwork between Dr Kaufman and my oncologist at cancer center of Acadiana , Dr Johnson my angel, are the reason I able to attend my 4 boys college graduations, wedding. And why God allowed this, so I could tell you. God bless

You are treated as a person not a number. His surgical skills are above reproach.

Dr. Kaufman and his staff are amazing. I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Kaufman while hospitalized at Lafayette General. Yes I say privileged because I had been sick for almost a year. I had been in and out of the hospital 10-12 times in that year. I Honestly believe if not for him I would not be writing this review. He performed surgery on me and although it was a long and rough road, I am doing great now. I highly recommend Dr. Kaufman it will be a decision you will not regret.
