Dr Lucid was thorough and engaging
I really like that Dr Lucid has most of the test equipment to diagnose your issue, so he was in the room either actually conducting the test or hovered nearby if a tech was running the test, commenting along the way - lots of opportunity to discuss things with him. I love it! I am grateful for finding him. I read the 1 star reviews here several times and am of the opinion they are all written by the same person. Shame on them.

His “office manager” is horrible. She is very rude and is there to collect a paycheck. She will ask to collect thousands of dollars and not explain anything. If she is the office manager she should be friendlier and more helpful. Instead she will talk bad about you and whisper to the other staff. She left my mom waiting and didn’t bother to help her while we waited for Lucinda nurse to help us. Dr Lucíd is always in a hurry and rushing. He is always all over the place and on his phone. He will make inappropriate jokes. He will run thousands of dollars of testing and dance around a diagnosis to confuse you into needing more unnecessary testing. The two most important people in the practice are a joke.

He had trouble keeping my medical history straight. He confused me with someone else. It was tedious and dangerous. I need a heart specialist who knows what they’re doing and is on the ball. This doctor is not the right person.

He was in too much of a hurry to listen to my symptoms. He just had his staff run tests. Then he told me I was fine. Then I still felt bad and so I got a second opinion. They said I wasn't fine.

Dr. Lucid spent 5minutes with me, didn’t check my blood pressure or listen to my heart. He charged my insurance company thousands of dollars for this visit. The health care system is broken and Dr. Lucid is part of the problem.

Dr. Lucid is not dependable or consistent. He tells you he will call you back with your results then you don’t hear from him. Then you call for them and he doesn’t return your calls. Every time you see him you get a different person, sometimes serious and distant, sometimes hyper and talking about random things. I can’t anymore.

Since I’m retired his schedule hasn’t been much of a problem. He seems to do okay by me. I ain’t dead yet! He’s a funny guy. Kinda like a used car salesman, friendly but superficial.

Came on here to write a different review but saw Dr. Lucid’s responses to people complaining about his availability. Those hours are the hours his office is open and his secretary answers the phone. He is frequently not in the office seeing patients or available to pass information through the secretary. It is very frustrating. The answering service is a joke. You may get a call back 2 hours later from a doctor who doesn’t know you or have access to your chart, who will tell you they can’t diagnose you over the phone and to go to emergency.

Dr. Lucid seemed to be in a hurry at my appointment, but ran a lot of tests. When he finally contacted me with the results he was not clear about what they meant. He danced around my questions. Dissatisfied with his explanation, I asked my PCP about the results. My PCP did not receive any update or test results from Dr. Lucid despite the fact my PCP referred me to him. My PCP requested my records, and I called and asked Dr. Lucid’s office to send them. It has been weeks and still nothing. The tests I had, along with the time and money spent, have all been wasted because I can’t get an interpretation of the results. There aren’t enough cuss words to describe how I feel about this doctor and his office. My PCP is aware and is as frustrated as I am.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Lucid?
Dr. Lucid and his office used to provide easy access to appointments, quality interactions with him and his staff, and a general sense of care and expertise. Over the past couple of years the doctor has cut his hours drastically, become disinterested in his patients, poor with his communication, and abysmal with his response time of communicating results. I used to really like Dr. Lucid and his office, but with all these changes it’s time to find a new heart doctor.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Lucid?
Dr. Lucid has his own practice, which would be fine except that he only works part-time. A part - time heart doctor is not what I need for my chronic heart problems. He is only in his office a couple of half days a week and it is nearly impossible to get care when he isn’t there. He is also very vague in his explanations. I can never get a straight answer from the man. Very disappointing.

Dr. Henry Lucid practices medicine, preventively as well as interventionally, with solid knowledge and wisdom. He is calming and insightful as he listens to concerns. His staff is respectful and knowledgeable and being under his care has been a blessing for both my husband and I now for over six years.

The lady at the front desk is not fun to deal with. She has no knowledge about insurance but will collect almost your entire deductible. She was very rude and even went to the back to talk bad about me to other staff. Very unprofessional and supposedly shes the office manager. Unnecessary testing is done. The tech in the back was on his cell phone with the lights off. His belly was hanging out of his shirt. Not a good look for a medical practice. I was left hooked up to machine while he left to eat. Dr. Lucid and his nurse are great but impressions are important in a medical practice. I dont feel they bill correctly, and the staff he picks besides his nurse is questionable.

Dr. Lucid is a great doctor, but I haven't been as successful with the support staff. I called once to verify the dosage of a medication, never got a call back. Called to give my blood pressure readings for the week that Dr Lucid requested, and the front desk transferred the call (which they should have done), And I got a recording. I left a detailed message, but again never got a call back.

Saw Dr Lucid the end of January 2018, he sent me for a heart sound at a nearby facility. He stated when the results were received he would call me within a day or two. It is now the end of February and I have left messages the last two weeks with the front desk and his nurse as to the results. No call back. I would not recommend.
