Even though this was a video visit, I thought that a good amount of time was given to me to discuss my issues. He answered my questions about my concern on things that we had discussed and came up with a plan.

Amazing
Dr Parkman is a very straightforward man. Which to some can seem “cold” or “rude”. He ordered a lot of tests and took his time with me.

Horrible communication
Had a medical test. No results, no call back. Email responses say they send a message and no one responds back! Phone calls go to call center and theyntake messages, no call back. They say there is no supervisor and no direct way to contact office! Call main hospital nimbe and same thing, no way to connect to office.

The WORST GI Dr !
Does not respond to patient portal, does not return calls....even when there's an urgent medical issue. He schedules follow-up appts 4 mos out !!! He is the WORST specialist i have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. DO NOT waste your time with this dr....find someone who actually cares about their pts.

Go to a doc affiliated with Penn
Wait time is always completely unacceptable. Always at least an hour. Often longer. Not impressed with the doc himself. Missed a clear diagnosis initially. Struggling with the same symptoms and issues for years. Just wants to prescribe another pill or do another test. Ridiculous. Going to a Penn doc.

If I could leave zero stars I would
I was referred to Henry Parkman as the MUST SEE gastrointestinal doctor. I waited three months for an appointment to be left in the waiting room for over an hour and then in a patient room for another hour to be told there’s still 5 patients in front of me with a scoff from the desk staff in the back. I then left as I couldn’t wait another two hours to be seen after already being there for two hours. I was rescheduled as his first appointment at 7:30 AM the following week, Dr. Parkman still left me waiting forty five minutes prior to seeing me. As his FIRST appointment. This is an absolutely disgusting misuse of time and funding. This overpaid doctor doesn’t respect my time and I’m supposed to trust him with my health?

I travel out of state to see Dr.Parkman for gastroparesis and he is miracle worker. My gastroparesis was so debilitating I could not work full time. He worked incredibly hard to get my pacemaker approved by insurance. He connected me with studies that helped me understand the cause of my disease and treat it better. He's listened to every one of my concerns and listened with compassion and provided workable solutions and explanations for my symptoms. He is truly an expert in his field and a phenomenal doctor with impressive research. Thanks to him, Ive been able to go back to working full time, no sick days. He changed my life and helped me get back on track to accomplishing my goals. My experience at Temple has been nothing short of phenomenal in the care I have received in comparison to other highly regarded hospitals.

Dr. Parkman was attentive and thorough in his exam and history. He recommended some medicine and said it might be expensive and to call him if it was not covered by insurance. It was not covered, $1200. Dr Packman never returned my e-mails or calls. I would not recommend him.

I have been diagnosed with various gastrointestinal ailments but the most serious is a rare stomach disease called GASTROPARESIS. Not many gastroenterologist know how to treat this disease but I was referred to Dr. Henry Parkman at Temple as “THE doctor” to help me with this horrible disease. After my last visit, I will NEVER see him again. When I spoke of the gastrointestinal medications I was taking he said, “You’re taking all that?” I said, “Yes, you’re prescribing them to me”. After six visits and at least two dozen tests, he had no idea who I was. When I showed him pictures of the bloating and distention I was experiencing, he told me to EXERCISE!! I am a thin girl, weighing 130 pounds and have lost 20 pounds from Gastroparesis and he tells me to go to the gym! I am switching to Penn now. Do not waste your time going to see doctor Parkman! You will not get personalized treatment, he will send you to get tons of test and then not know who you are. TRUST ME!!
