×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Sullivan?
I consulted with Dr. Sullivan for sternal non-union & osteomyelitis 5 months post median sternotomy. His treatment plan was outdated & appear to be in conflict with the standard treatment in the Merck Manual. He is not a fan of sternal plating even though this technique has been shown to be superior in its ability to stabilize the sternum & reduced infection reoccurrece rates. His idea of pulling wires & leaving my sternum in piece, I would never be able to return to my job as a manual PT.
