Real help for people. Not a pill mill for addicts.
I have seen Dr. Malinoff for 10+ years. He basically gave me my life back. The whole function of a pain management Dr. is to take you off the short-term stuff and move you to long-term management drugs. If you just want someone to write Percs, Somas, & Benzos, you shouldn't bother to make an appointment. You're not getting any. And being told your body is physically addicted to something is not the same as being told you're an addict. But, a hit dog will holler, sooo. He also makes you sign a form that you will not get drugs from other Dr.s w/o permission, but I have had many surgeries & quite a few 2 pill benzo scripts for MRIs. Never had a problem. He expects you to respect both his time & the time of everyone else who has an appointment that day and shows up on time. People are right. He won't see you if you show up late. But, who likes to be stuck in the waiting area of a doctors office for an hr. That's because people show up late & then demand to be seen.

This man told me I was a drug addict because Im a former smoker and nicotine is a drug. He did not treat my pain. He had zero compassion. Would not recommend if you are looking for any type of pain control.

I have been to many medical offices, and have never had one treat me as poorly as this one. I showed up 12 minutes late, and my appointment was cancelled. This after waiting 40-50 minutes for other appointments to begin. The staff either lost or stole my prescription, and the receptionist stood up mockingly and did a tap dance to try to prove that she didn’t need pain medication. The Office manager is the worst - and is probably the reason for the bad attitude of the staff. Rude, condescending, and when I caught her lying she didn’t seem to care - seems like she must do it a lot. Beware!

Truly the worst medical office ever. – Aug 29, 2019

Dr. Malinoff is an amazing physician. If you see him expecting to “score” you won’t like him because he tells the truth. I would honestly say he saved my life. If you’re honest with him he’ll go to any length imaginable to improve your life. He’s super smart though and will see through lies like you can’t imagine. The BEST at what he does. Not even a close 2nd.

I would highly recommend Dr. Malinoff to friends and family. He is always on schedule and never makes you wait. My appointments are under 30 minutes from check-in to check-out. Make sure to arrive 10 minutes before your appointment and you will never have a problem. I find him to be extremely compassionate, caring and efficient. Unfortunately, in his chosen field of care, he sees many chronic pain patients on high dose pain meds which take time to sort out and to map out a plan of action.

Dr. Malinoff is arrogant, unstable, and cruel. If you are 5 minutes late he cancels your appointment. Makes his own rules. He harrassed me and verbally assaulted me and threatened to refuse care to me. He became loud and threatened to remove care with, I DON'T WANT TO BE ON YOUR TEAM ANYMORE. Seemed ill and spoke like a child. In passing, I referred to UofM as you guys; he yelled, DON'T CALL ME YOU GUYS! Spoke down to me as though I were a child. Made police report after last visit

Dr. Malinoff sees every person as an addict seeking drugs. He is a horrible listener and gets very defensive, and sometimes mean, if questioned. He believes everyone needs psychiatric help. If you won't mold to his beliefs, he will refuse to treat you. I was relieved to read many other reviews that confirmed that it wasn't just me!!!!
