Dr. Hilary Webster, MD

Brought my son in because he needed routine vaccinations and the pediatrician I would like him to see was very booked. I agreed to be slotted to see Dr. Webster. All she did was create a body image my son did not have prior to this appointment. She was hyper fixated on his weight. I get being direct to an extent, but you are working with pediatric patients and it was a discussion that we could have had as adults instead of continually telling my son how “big” he is. She even referenced his private area in front of me without consulting with him insinuating he had issues down there. That appointment disgusted me and my children will not see her in the future. She should go back into retirement.

She was friendly, however, she did not pay much attention to my child's health. I always checked in beforehand and would write my concerns on the check-in survey (which was done a few days before the appt). Then when I went in, the nurse would always ask if I had concerns again, which I'd express them again. Then when Dr. Webster came in, she wouldn't address any of it (as if she was unaware that I had any) and would again ask if I had concerns. She didn't seem to care to look at my child's medical history. I took my child in one day for a last min emergency check up and since this was last min, it wasn't with Dr. Webster. The Dr. told us he would record it so Dr. Webster is aware of this for next time. The next time we went to see Dr. Webster, she didn't address it at all, as if she was unaware. We then told her about it and she didn't even bother to check if he healed or if my child felt better. She often asked me the same questions and wasn't up to date with my child's health.

I am thoroughly disappointed with my one and only experience with Dr. Hilary Webster. She saw my 4 year old daughter for the first (and last time). She reviewed my daughter's chart. She then proceeded to tell me "By 4 years old kids should have flat tummies. If they have a belly, I recommend cutting or eliminating carbs." My daughter runs 1.5 miles straight, is involved in dance and gymnastics and will willingly tell you her favorite foods are asparagus and beef sticks. Dr. Webster did not reference any of her stats to back up her claim. She needs training on how to discuss body image/weight and sensitivity training. She can do a lot of damage to kids' mental health with her approach and lack of evidence based information. You cannot determine a person's health based off the "flatness" of their stomach. I will never return to her.

My new born baby was turning blue, purple and red. Also was modeling to the extreme. Which I supplied a few pictures. Was told by Dr Webster and another pediatric doctor this is completely normal, and he was having a crying fit. My wife had to beg for a cardiologist referral, to which she said "If it would ease your mind". Turns out my 2 month old son had a heart murmur and 3 heart defects. My son could have stopped breathing thanks to this doctor and another. We have been in her office every week because something was wrong, but we repetitively were told he is a normal baby. We just got released from childrens hospital from a heart surgery that was long past due. Luckily thanks for our cardiologist that told us everything that was wrong with our baby boy, we will grow up to be a normal family. I am writing this in hopes someone else doesnt have to go through the same heart ache we have been going through for the past 3 months.
