Dr. Hillary Newsome, MD

Dr. Newsome is extremely knowledgeable and has consistently answered questions, concerns and provided excellent feedback during my appointments. Her direct but accommodating descriptions, instructions, diagnosis and outlook is the type of service that sets the bar high. Every procedure I have had in the office has been great with zero complaints. I would easily recommend Dr. Newsome to those seeking an ENT and her other areas of expertise and can specifically say Dr. Newsome is an excellent communicator both in the exam room or through mychart should you have follow up questions.

I recently visited Dr. Newsome for the first time to address some concerns about veins on the left side of my face. From the moment I met her, I felt completely at ease. Dr. Newsome took the time to thoroughly explain everything, breaking it down in a way that was easy to understand. I appreciated how she avoided using overly technical medical jargon, making it simple for me to grasp.What truly impressed me was Dr. Newsome's kindness, patience, and willingness to answer all my questions without making me feel uncomfortable or rushed. Her bedside manner is outstanding.Overall, my visit was fantastic, and I highly recommend Dr. Newsom to anyone seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled doctor. I am so impressed with Dr. Newsome’s work! She is amazing! My sister in law had a large melanoma lesion on her face. Took 3 surgeries to remove it all. When she first saw Dr. Newsome she had a very large hole in her cheek right up to below her eye. Dr. Newsome was able to repair all the damage done from her necessary surgery. Her work was impeccable. If you did not know that she had had surgery on her face, no one would be able to actually see the difference in her face! Dr. Newsome is also kind and compassionate; taking time to explain everything throughout the process and inspiring confidence in her as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Newsome!

I recently was diagnosed with skin cancer on my head, which needed to be removed. I was referred to Dr. Newsome by my UCONN dermatologist. I met with Dr. Newsome, reviewed my options and was informed I may want to consider MOHS surgery which would result in less skin being removed, though would require me to be awake, which was not an option for me. Dr. Newsome was caring, listened to my concerns, shared her honest thoughts and feedback. I always felt that she was looking out for my best interest. I was very anxious about the procedure and she was even-keeled, kept her cool and is someone I would 200% refer. Trust is earned, not given, and if I need any additional procedures in the future I will without a doubt call her office for a consult.

She listened to all my concerns. She was kind but honest about expectations. My results are better than I could have hoped for before surgery. I am 1 year out and beyond please with my care and result. Hillary is wonderful. I would choose her again everyday. Thank you.

Dr. Newsome took special care to answer all of my questions and to discuss my concerns. She was knowledgeable when discussing treatment options. She was very friendly, with a good sense of humor, kind and empathetic. She ensured that I was comfortable and well informed. I would recommend Dr. Newsome to anyone in need of ENT consultation and medical care.

She didn't listen to anything I said to her. She wasn't paying attention to my needs or my concerns. Was very dismissive of my conditions and it seemed like her knowledge of my condition was limited. I don't trust she made the best treatment decision for my situation. Didn't meet my needs or expectations.

Dr Newsome , provided a pain free surgery, which i was impressed considering the area the surgery was performed on. She is highly skilled at her profession. And a lot of health care providers don’t change their gloves when they touch things, that can possibly cross contaminate, DR Newsome changed her gloves a number of times during my surgery. She was awesome when it came to that. My total experience was a five star .

I have recently had an in office procedure on my face. Dr Newsome was very understanding about my worry of scars. She rest assured me they would be mild if anything. There is no scar at all. She went step by step what she would be doing and asked if I had any questions prior to starting. She is very patient, understanding and very personable. Definitely would refer her to anyone.

I saw Dr. Newsome for a cyst removal on my scalp. I was a little nervous because of where it was located. After my evaluation I felt very much at ease, she was so down to earth and made feel very comfortable as well. Procedure went smoothly and I am very pleased with the outcome!!!!

I was given her so I could have a new ENT. She would not listen to my chest I had a bad cough. She was cold and sarcastic. I will keep reporting her.
