Trust and listen
My doctor since 2020, he is thoughtful, caring, intentional, and well prepared. He practices medicine, just what I'm there to receive. I trust him and I listen when he discusses his concerns and instructs me to care for myself. And, he listens to me, too.

Refused to test for strep; I had a classic case.
Amazingly bad experience; went in with sore throat after spending time with elementary school children; he refused to give me a strep test, insisting that my acute sore throat (with no other symptoms) was 'a virus.' Ten white-knuckle days using an opioid to bear the pain, and one near-peritonsular abscess later, I tested very positive for strep at the ER. After course of penicillin and some residual pain, I revisited Dr. M (why?! my ENT was on vacation), who declared my ER strep test a FALSE POSITIVE and said 'you just like antibiotics' (laughably false). Backup ENT declared mine an absolutely classic case of strep ('I do this for a living'), and increased my antibiotic dose which cleared it right up. M. is lucky I didn't sue; untreated strep can have serious long term health repercussions.

Dr. Miyashita AKA 'Dr. No-Exam'
I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting Dr. Miyashita, also known as “Dr. No – Exam”, and I must say it was the worst encounter I've ever had with a healthcare professional. My appointment was scheduled for a routine physical exam, but to my disbelief, Dr. No-Exam flat out refused to conduct one. Instead of engaging in a thorough discussion about my medical history, lifestyle, and concerns, Dr. No-Exam dismissed the idea of a physical exam altogether, claiming it was unnecessary. Additionally he apparently does not believe in testing for anything whatsoever -he stated and I quote, ' When you have symptoms, then we will investigate the cause.' I understand that position, but he seemed to take things a step further and dismiss data, preventive care, and the scientific method. He claims tests mean nothing, yet he was reviewing my medical history and drawing conclusions based tests taken by my previous doctor years ago. I will be seeking a new Doctor early next year.

rude and dismissive
Telehealth
Dr. Miashita admits he does not read patient messages submitted through the portal. He does not communicate with his staff, and different nurse will give different answers to questions. When told certain information was not sent to the insurance carrier, resulting in coverage of a medication being denied, he responded with 'Who are you going to believe?' rather than working to get the needed information to the insurance. This man should not be practicing medicine. Avoid at all costs.

He did not listen. He refused to help me follow through w my out-of-town doctor's nuclear stress test order. I had a suspected mild heart attack. He vehemently insisted that many tests are more dangerous and should not be done. I explained that I was also on meds for a UTI. He addressed nothing about. I also have an order for a uroscopy from my urologist due to bladder cancer in my family. He refused to even address the issue until I pressed him to do so. He pushed me to buy a blood pressure monitor, brand name of his choosing, keep readings 3xd for 2/wks, and return. I ended up in the ER that night due to worsening infection issues that he ignored and dismissed. He could be detrimental to a patient. The point of this review. He shouldn't be practicing.

Oblivious
He seemed bound and determined to explain the benefits of using sunscreen and educating me about skin care. This is fine, but it came at the detriment of my once a year physical/interview and we couldn’t even cover everything due to lack of time. He seems serious but does not really listen.

My experience with Dr. Miyashita was by far the most horrific medical episode of my life. As others have said, he is cruel, abusive, rude, and dismissive of patients. In my case he even flat-out refused to talk with other medical providers in the practice who sought to explain my medical issues. He may have some good days, but I genuinely believe he deserves to be charged with malpractice and stripped of his credentials so he can't go on abusing patients.

Gave me the incorrect dosing of medication which meant my condition was exacerbated and needed to go to a new doctor to get the correct prescription. He does not listen and I changed to a different doctor at the Marino Center. This guy is clueless.

I met with with him and found him to be the most rude, disrespectful, condescending , and arrogant MD I have ever met. He had no useful information to share and actually gave incorrect information. Did not consider my input and did not listen to my concerns There was no examination involved and refused to investigate a chronic issue any further. Giant waste of my time. Does not belong at the Marino Center ...apparently does not believe in their philosophy of integrative medicine.

I went as an urgent patient, his first week practicing at the Marino Center. My visit was for a internal bruise, Dr. Myashita would not even touch or look at where my injury was. He advised me not to excercise and prescribed me a pain pill. In taking this pain medicine the third day, I was having severe sharp stomach pain, I called Saturday and an affiliate prescribed a different medicine. I actually went back This was Stranger and I will just finish with Dr. Miyashita saying; What Are A Baby'!!

THE worst experi nice with a doctor in my entire life. Bizarre. First day in his office to talk over my health. Basically he told me he couldn't help me. And referred me to my other doctor. Insisted my swelling eye problems need to be checked by an eye doctor. When I told him I already talked to my eye doctor about it as I am in constant contact with her, he continued to insist I see the eye doctor. (I had been told it may be another condition that I was recommended to see a PCP for (him)
