Dr. Holden Heitner, MD

Permanent damage to a young man because he ignored post operative calls and visits regarding pain and swelling following surgery, had infection and bones eaten by it, ignored. He should not be practicing medicine. Hand wrist specialist in his mind, not Board Certified. Biggest mistake we ever made. Solution to his damage? Remove carpals and fuse wrist. How would he like that done to him? He wouldn't ever do surgery again for sure with one functional hand. Arrogant too. He has a lot to learn.

Arrogant and no follow-up care

I underwent surgery to correct severe arthritis in my thumb on my right hand. The recovery went incredibly well and although I was told it could be up to a year to fully recover, after six weeks, I could not have been happier with the results. Even if it didn't get any better, I was still far better off than before. However, it kept on improving even more as time went by. After three months, I decided to do my left hand, which is my dominant hand. Recovery was a bit tougher as I rely on that hand more. However, it went great.Dr. Holden is personable, knowledgeable, compassionate, and talented. He could not have made this experience any better. His surgical administrator Casey is an incredible asset and made sure everything was taken care of before and after surgery.Everyone at All Florida Orthopaedic Associates was wonderful. Dr. Heitner is a true professional. If I had a third hand, and needed surgery on it as well, I would absolutely go to Dr. Heitner...hands down!

Terrible. He performed surgery on my right hand to correct dupuytren contractions. After the first surgery, my hand got infected. He had to amputate the finger. That got infected also. I had to go to a wound specialist to get treated. I've been in constant pain since. Initially I was told he was a hand specialists by the doctor that examined me but his specialty escaped me. It was as elusive as my care. Thumbs down!

Dr. Heitner is very professional and pleasant to work with. He is very understanding and puts in time with his patients. Would recommend to anyone, and sad to see him leave but know he will excel and be an excellent where ever he goes.

He was extremely sweet with our 3 year old who broke her arm. He reset it late at night at the hospital after arriving promptly once it was determined she needed it done. Followed up a week later and he was once again very attentive with her. Would highly recommend him for any orthopedic needs.

I received surgery on my right wrist in October. The visit was quick and the scheduling was equally as fast! Dr. Heitner listened to all of my concerns and performed a wonderful job! I can now get back to what I do pain free until my left wrist is fixed. I’m left with a scar that he did a beautiful job suturing. Looking forward to meeting again for my further surgery.
