Dr. Hosam Mousselli, MD

Went to the ER had meningitis, didn’t answer any question. Very insensitive. His staff is trash as well.

If I could give this doctor a “minus star” I would…Dr Mousselli was one of several team of doctors treating my sister this past week at St. Francis Hospital for a spinal infection. After reviewing her case he bluntly told her she needed a colonoscopy because he suspected she had colon cancer. This was over the top unprofessional, out of line and way too early to be making such a serious statement to a patient. The colonoscopy wasn’t even ordered yet, nor had my sister seen a GI doctor and obviously the procedure, itself had not yet been done…nor were any results back to confirm his dark pre-diagnosis. Dr. Mousselli’s careless, insensitive and irresponsible remark to my sister crushed her and threw her into 24 hours of agonizing fear. It’s worthy to note that other doctors treating my sister apologized to her for his actions, yet he never did. And this too…her colonoscopy came back CLEAR…cancer free, showing nothing else significant other than a small benign polyp.

I seen him while in St. Francis Hospital. I had an infection so he was called in. He was rude as hell. I’m a bigger person, I’m fat, I know this and I’m not sensitive about it. BUT he mentioned it multiple times in the conversations my weight is not his area of expertise. On top of insulting my physician, podiatrist, and others doctors I’ve seen over a medical condition, and I. He hinted around that we were stupid and didn’t know what we were talking about with a certain medical condition I had, that condition isn’t under his expertise either.

He was consulting with other doctors on my husband’s case. At first he did not seem very friendly or informative. On our second meeting he was more Open and inclined to answers questions. He was patient and thoughtful in his answers. I would definitely recommend him now.
