Dr. Hyman is an excellent doctor, he takes very good care of his patient, if it is a something that he can't handle he would give you a referral to go another doctor, and would let you know if you are not satisfied you can get back to him and he would recommend another doctor.

I've been going to his office since the 1980's It was just him and his office staff at the Nye Ave in Irvington location, then at the Union Ave and Maplewood locations before moving to 163 MillburnAve and now at 227 Millburn Ave I referred my mother, and brother and then they referred family members

I am writing this review specifically to denounce the person who said Dr. Hyman has issues with alcohol or is racially biased So nothing can be further from the truth I suspect the person who wrote this has a personal vendetta and has nothing good to say about anyone My experience with Dr. Hyman has always been top drawer he is patient understanding professional and spends as much time with you as is necessary and always has a smiling and cheery disposition His staff is also excellent so please disregard the negative comments you say and trust me he is a doctor of high reputation I I hesitate to write reviews but when I saw this I was shocked and dismayed I have known Dr. Hyman for over 15 years And would never hesitate to recommend him five stars!,, LK

25 years ago, MD appeared to be a reasonably good physician. However, he now seems quite embittered by his practice and high volume of low-income elderly and chronically ill patients. He is condescending and appears to have some type of alcohol usage. Also seems racially biased. Very disappointed he is much less of a professional than he was in his first decade of practice.
