Very impressed
My appointment was misscheduled by my referring physician, so I arrived at my 730 appointment to find an office closed until 9. They managed to get me in for my initial exam by 10 and after a quick EKG I was in consultation with the Dr. Despite only having me as a patient for 10 minutes, Dr. Weintraub had complete background knowledge of my history and gave me a very matter of fact opinion of my prospects to bring down my dangerous cholesterol readings. His approach, which strangely indicated he was possibly more concerned with the health of my body than me, was "If you can't handle this through diet and exercise, then I'll have to do some of the heavy lifting", won me over immediately. Dr. Weintraub is a jewel.

Dr Weintraub has been my doctor for over 20 years. While his bedside manner to some may seem brusk at times I know he truly cares about the well-being of his patients. He treated a family member who was diagnosed with terminal heart disease. Prominent cardiologists said the case was hopeless. Dr Weintraub coordinated the surgeons and the medical team to perform what was then cutting-edge surgery that extended the patients life for 10 years. I trust him implicitly.

Unfortunately there is no negative ratings. Most physicians at NYU can not communicate with Dr Weintraub. He is unprofessional and does not listen to his patients his bed side manners are atrocious

We waited at least an hour every visit. It is impossible to talk to this doctor he doesn't listen to questions nor does he explain medical conditions. To make matters worse when asked lifestyle questions the response was "I don't believe you". Why bother asking?!?

Unfortunately there is no negative rating. There is a track record of regimented diabetics leaving this practice. Furthermore most physicians at NYU can not communicate with Dr Weintraub. Plan to wait approximately an hour in the waiting room as they are always overbooked. This provider will not listen discuss nor explain anything
