Dr. Gao literally saved my vision in my right eye. I had a macular hole in my right eye. Dr Gao explained everything, did excellent follow up care. I now have 20/20 vision in that eye.

Dr. Gao performed surgery on my left retina to remove a scar he said is going to improve my vision. Following the surgery my left eye vision got worse. In my 2 months postoperative appointment. and after waiting almost two hours in the office for him to see me, he admitted that my vision got worse because the retinal surgery induced cataract in my left eye, and that I have to see another eye surgeon to remove the cataract. I was really pissed off????

Not at all. He was not a bad doctor per say but it was like a meat market for my appointment. He only works at the location a couple of days a month so they over-booked the appointments. My appointment was scheduled at 2:30pm but I did not see the doctor till after 4pm and did not get out of the office till after 4:30pm. He wanted me to get a laser procedure done, when I asked for more information about the procedure before scheduling it he told me to google it.
