Wants money
Was with him for a long time. As my pain was increasing, he was unwilling to go to next level. You very seldom saw him. Usually an intern doctor or a PA. To see him you would have to ask for him at scheduling but then he would send someone else in. Sometimes have to make 4 or more appointments to see MY so called Dr. If your in a lot of pain and need a Dr to work with you. Don't go here.

Feels like it’s really about how much money he can make by always pushing procedures even if there are legitimate medical reasons to not do so. He ignored results from radiology and proceeded to push for putting cement in a break that my neurosurgeon stated it was not the right kind of break for that and under no circumstances should I allow him to do that. He does not listen unless it lines up with potential procedures he can do on you.

Patient Beware
I will try to keep this brief. I met the doctor and he spoke to me only at my first appoint I had 2 procedures with intense problems and pain during prep, the procedure and afterwards. My last appointment I informed them that I do not plan to have anymore injection procedures and I forgot to bring in my pain meds. I took a urinalysis which was fine but then was told by the nurse practioner that I HAD to show up by noon the next day and bring in my pills for a pill count. They continued to call me as soon as I got to my car when leaving their office and multiple times afterwards that they would not prescribe me anymore pain meds. I have not much words for that type of treatment, because I don’t even want to stay on pain meds anyway. Taking chronic opioids is not my idea of true treatment anyways. Please help yourself and go somewhere else like an Orthopedic Specialist.

Where do I even start! I was a patient of Dr. Salguero for over a year I drove 2 hours to see him, and let me tell you not only did I like him so much I TRUSTED him with everything I am, well I had a UA come back positive, this isn’t a surprise to me and no indeed not was it true, I take a host of meds ranging from bets blockers to Lasix for swelling and for retain water to high blood pressure meds, since I’m waiting on a heart it’s no surprise I get a lot of gas even his Nurse Practitioner Sherry and I even discussed how I get gas and it hurts my heart, so I take Zantac it is a life savor for me. Bottom line is make a judgement accordingly and don’t refuse to send UA to lab me paying. Beyond disappointed with all of them. No I don’t recommend this place

Wish I had of read reviews before I went in....it was a very humiliating experience from nurse to Dr. they acted like they could care less about you! No smile. I felt like I was talking to a warden or an enemy at best. No empathy what so ever!

My experience with Dr. Hugo Salguero and his staff was excellent! I'm not on any type of pain meds I just needed occipital nerve block injections in the back of my lower head for severe back head & neck pain that radiates to my temples all the way to my upper head and he was able to give me this injections at my appointment so that I didn't have to go back again. He was very nice and understand to my pain. I will definitely refer all my friends and family to him for pain management.

He is a very busy Dr. If you have questions tho you need to ASK him. Don't just assume he has time to go over everything verbatim with you without you letting him know you need a more detailed explanation or questions Especially if he's seen you before and you go in regularly for the same thing. He is friendly and has lovely bedside manners. He asministers my injections. Altho l, they only help me for maybe 2 weeks max, i recommend him!! It's not his fault that my body is so tolerant to the md

This doctor (and I use that term loosely) scheduled my mom for a kyphoplasty to be done in his office. His office got insurance authorized right away and scheduled the procedure for the next day. My mom wanted a 2nd opinion from her neurosurgeon so I canceled the procedure. Salguero called me and let me know how upset he was about it. He did not understand why she would want a 2nd opinion. I told him she is entitled to another opinion and she is going to get one. He fired her for doing so.

I have been seeing pain management doctors for about 15 years for pelvic pain, so my experience may be different from those with back pain. When I saw Dr. Salguero for my initial consultation, he was very direct and somewhat terse, but he fully explained what he thought my problem might be and suggested an injection. I agreed, went back a week or so later for the shot, and feel much better. I will be getting the injection every 3 months for now, and am very satisfied.

I have been going here for close to a year. I am very happy with my outcome. So far Dr. Salguero has been the best doctor I have had. I have many things that are going on with my back at the moment. He has explain all the procedures to me. I'm currently working on chasing my dream of becoming a Nurse so getting the treatment is need and eventually getting off pain medication is my goal. But at this moment it's one day at a time. As I recently just finished doing my clinicals and passed my CNA.

My surgeon sent orders to Dr. Salguero for a specific pain block before surgery. However, by the time of my surgery 3 days later, no sign the block was still in effect. Surgeon was NOT happy. He informed me this doc did not do as told. However, my surgeon is in OKC and I needed a pain doc in my healthplan. So 2 days after surgery, my surgeon sent me back with orders for the correct pain block to be administered. Again, he did not administer the correct block! This guy is horrible!

I am a new patient of DR. salguero and have seen him twice now. The waiting area is too small for the number of patients that are there waiting to be? seen. Very long wait time!!! Put me on meds that had major drug to drug reaction with current meds so luckily my insurance denied refill before something happened to me. Rude nurse and Dr acts like he doesn't want to help and doesn't want to put me on anything else. I don't care about meds, just want pain to stop

This doctor is horrible. He did not listen to me what so ever. He was rude, condescending and obnoxious. He treated me like a drug seeker even though I asked for nothing narcotic for pain relief. The med that he did prescribe was way too high of a dose that put me in the hospital with a life threatening reaction. I will NEVER return.
