My Thoughts....
I just read Dr. Komenaka reviews, and I just couldn't believe the 2 very negative ones I read. Everything that was written in a negative manner, I disagree with from today's appointment. First of all, he came out to greet me and being me to his office because he knew I was waiting. Secondly, he did a family history with me to see my results, went over my ultrasound on screen, discussed next steps, took all the time I needed for questions, and said if I had more questions, call and he would get back to me with answers. I could not have asked for more with this appointment, and I am very particular. Everyone has bad days, but don't let those negative reviews base your decision on whether you would see this doctor.

If I could give him a zero star, I would. I will never visit him again, nor would I recommend him to anyone. He was arrogant and presumptuous. He dismissed my concerns and downplayed my family history for a genetic predisposition. He focused on the "facts" of commonality, rather than seeing me as an individual and recognizing my family history. I felt as if he was mocking me (and my family) and testing my intellect. I left my appointment feeling unheard and not cared for... I came to him with legitimate concerns and needed a doctor that would understand my family history and predisposition... instead, I left feeling unimportant and as if my family, the ones that died and have had preventative mastectomies, were a joke and did not pertain to my risks and concerns. I had to wait 3 months for my appt., only to be treated this way. Again, I will never go to him, nor recommend him to anyone who cares about themselves and their family.

Such a jerk! Treated my sister terribly when she went to see him after being diagnosed with cancer. He was rude, snarky and very unprofessional. She was very scared in the time leading up to her visit with him, understandably so. This guy proceeded to yell at her for not being more timely in seeing a doctor!! Provided absolutely no comfort and showed zero empathy!! My suggestion to this jerk is pretend it's your wife, daughter, or mom that your consulting about their cancer treatment!! My sis has young kids and is terrified about what is going happen!! I thought doctors were supposed to have a little common sense when discussing such a serious treatment scenario. Act like you care doc!! I guess you missed that day at medical school
