No contact - IV Therapy
I was placed on a course of 6 weeks IV antibiotics via a PIIC line. During this time I was never contacted by Dr. Seemungal nor anyone in his office. Not even a call to inquire if I was having any problems. Per the center call center of the hospital the doctor would have communicated with the home health nurse. Prior to therapy I was very clear that communication would be with me, to which Dr. Seemungal agreed. Not communicating with the patient is not acceptable.

My experience with Dr. Seemungal was vastly disappointing. My appointment with him was rushed, awkward, and borderline combative. At times it felt like a pharmaceutical sales pitch. Sadly I had very high expectations meeting him for my first consolation and was consequently severely let down. I’ve never been the type to “shop around” for the right doctor, but unfortunately I must now. I also now understand my health is a business and my business is going somewhere else.

Dr. Seemungal was on my care team when I was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital, and I saw him in his office on follow up visits. His care and attention were first rate. He was very persistent in diagnosing my case and overseeing my treatment. He was with me all the way through -- even working over a holiday weekend, visited frequently, and was dogged in eradicating my infection.
