Dr. Ian White, MD

Had a handful of surgeries with this provider that ended up being the wrong approach, and didn’t resolve my health issue. Dr. White gave up, and I spent a year finding someone else who resolved it.

Saw Dr. White for my first colonoscopy today. Dr. White was very thorough in explaining what to expect. The procedure and the preparation leading up to it was very straightforward, comfortable, and painless. I feel fortunate to be a patient of Dr. White and the great team he has surrounded himself with.

Nice bedside manner but unfortunately after a handful a surgeries for a complex fistula he was not able to resolve my health issue.

Dr. White is a great surgeon. He did a very complex procedure to my husband and practically saved his life. After a month hospitalized at Overlake (not a good experience), my husband ended with an emergency surgery in the worst possible scenario. Dr. White was very straightforward and knowledgeable about my husband's condition and performed extremely well despite the adverse conditions. We would fully recommend him as a doctor and surgeon. He is easy to talk to and has excellent bed side manners.

Dr. White is an exceptional surgeon. I first met Dr. White when I was checked into Overlake with an intestinal abscess. Dr. White shared that based on data and analysis it would be best long term if I had surgery. At the time, I was not quite ready to pursue that option. Over the course of a year, Dr. White patiently walked me through recovery and a journey to gather more facts to help guide my decision. In the end, I had the surgery and it went smoothly. Dr. White is the right doctor to have if you find yourself in need of a good colorectal surgeon that will help you make the best decision for you and your family

May I share how impressed I am with Dr. Ian White. His specialty can be difficult to discuss. However, Dr. White has enthusiasm, academic insight, and clear explanations for ordinary folks. The Dr. took the time to answer my every question. He is a more recent arrival to Bellevue WA Overlake; we're lucky he's here. He emphasized "high fiber diet" so I asked surely Frito's corn chips will do? He explained unfortunately not, and described what foods do have fiber & health.
