Excellent Psychiatrist

I would like to sincerely apologize for my previous anonymous and negative post on February 23, 2024. It was my decision to discontinue my medication without proper supervision. Dr. Goldberg is deeply committed to the well-being of his patients and has supported me through many challenges over the years. His profound knowledge and expertise in treating various conditions are invaluable. I have great trust and respect for him as a provider, and I cannot imagine where I would be today without his support.

Dr. Goldberg was quick to put me on a very physically dependent medication for over a decade. When I expressed me want to come off of the medication, he dropped me as a patient like a hot potato. Said I missed more appointments than what is true, but he can be late to every appointment. I’m now going through HELL. I never truly felt like he really even cared… just blasting through as many appointments as he possibly can.

He is a very compassionate doctor, I feel he truly cares and always asks what up in my life, and answers my questions rather than just being there to refill prescriptions. For med changes, he listens to and respects my desires about which side effects are non-negotiable and looks to find alternative options that fit my needs. i trust him and knows he has my best interests in mind.

I saw Dr Goldberg monthly for a medication check in. I was a patient of Dr Goldberg’s for 6 years. I only left his practice because I moved to another state. He truly listened to what I had to say and we worked on a plan for how best to start medication for my depression and anxiety issues. It took only six months before we found the right combination. For me, Dr Goldberg has been a caring doctor and I’ve benefited greatly from his practice.

I liked him a lot at first but then I saw how condescending and arrogant he really is. It's hard to talk to him because a lot of the time he responds very condescendingly. Always rushed our appts and I never felt like he actually cared about my wellbeing. Every specialist I've seen ENCOURAGED me to contact them whenever I had questions about my treatment, but whenever I contacted him only ask questions about my prescriptions he doesn't give me a straight answer and acts as if I'm bothering him

Dr. Goldberg was easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable about the latest treatment options. He was flexible and open to exploring treatment options and helped you understand the pros and cons of these options. I would recommend Dr. Goldberg to anyone who is seeking an expert to help them monitor and maintain a safe and effective medication plan.

I have known Dr. Goldberg since 2010, and have nothing but good things to say about him! So much so, that I have referred him to friends and family alike. He is prompt, professional, caring, insightful, and sincere. As a nurse at a large Boston hospital, I have met and worked alongside countless doctors. I can say whole heartedly, that Ilan Goldberg is among those whom I hold in the highest regard. I have tremendous respect for him as a clinician, and feel that he is one of the best!

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Goldberg?
I was a patient of Dr. Goldberg's for five years, from August 2012 until just this May. He is one of the most arrogant and condescending people I have ever met. I dreaded my appointments with him, because he always berated and chastised me. He has no on-call service, and there were a few times I was without medication for a few days because I couldn't contact him. I finally left him after he treated me in a rude an unprofessional manner when I had to reschedule an appointment due to work.

I have been an patient of Dr Goldbergs for approximately 3 years. I can highly recommend him. He listens carefully to me, takes an interest in my career, and is very thorough. He takes my input seriously, and we communicate very well. I trust him with meds, and I'm very satisfied with my treatment and care. He definitely has my best interests in mind.

Our experience with Dr Goldberg was through his Semester Off program. I would never recommend this program to another family. It was a young adult baby sitting service that did nothing to help our child or our understanding of his struggles in college. After 10 weeks ans $13,000 we feel as if we are exactly were we started. I don't expect a quick fix, but some insight by this so called highly trained Dr. was desired by ALL of us. Left only with more frustration. Don't do as we did.

Although I've heard that there are some people that really like him, I feel as if he inaccurately pigeon-holed me from the moment he met me and then refused to listen whenever I told him that his assumptions about me were incorrect. I'm a pretty laid back person, but at the end of every session, I'd be so frustrated with the situation that I'd want to scream. He also seems like his highest priority and main focus is getting people involved in his semester off program instead of anything else.
