Ask your primary care doctor for meds instead.
Berman and staff are forgetful and generalize way too much for professionals. No one answers the phone anymore. Ask your primary care doctor for the meds she prescribes so you don't have to be demeaned by having to deal with her. Generally unempathetic.

She’s a joke don’t go there
They don’t listen to you and they think they know everything about who you are but they don’t know anything except what’s in a book that they read. They just want to give meds you don’t need and take away the ones you need. I’ve been there for about four years and I’ve had enough. I’m going to have to get out of there and find another doctor so if I were you don’t go to this doctor, you will regret it!!!!!

Quite honestly, this place is a joke of a provider and you will not deal with Dr.Berman personally either. I have used a couple different providers for my ADHD treatment and have never been forced to do random bi-weekly drug testing, refused choice of medication treatment, or had to have bi-weekly phone calls. I can’t imagine anyone with a professional career has the time to deal with the extra requirements, and it’s not reasonable unless dealing with individuals with history of drug abuse, legal issues or failed drug tests. They also refuse to allow drug testing at more convenient locations aside from their office/lab (money grab). One thing you can count on if you decide to go here for treatment is the feeling like a criminal or struggling recovering addict even when that isn’t the case based on your history.

Dr Berman has made a huge difference in my son's life. She meet with him, reviewed his medical history, and together they came up with a medical plan. After 5 years in the VA's mental health system that failed on all levels, my son has made so much more progress with Dr. Berman. She makes him 100% accountable for his meds. She will meet with him on Thursday and then call on Tuesday for him to come in, do a urine test, and he must bring all his med and they count them. I am very grateful.

My appointment was at noon I got there 10 minutes early and didn't get seen til 2:30. I'm thankful my kids are older and I wasn't paying a babysitter or had to go to work. She seems pretty good listened to my questions and concerns but that wait time is a little much. Why bother taking appointments if walk in come in too. I'm only there for phyciatry but she seems to do more on substance abuse.

If you are seeking help with psychiatric issues do NOT come here. Dr. Berman may have started out with good intentions but she is basically running a Suboxone Clinic and she does not have time for real mental health issues, crisis', etc and prefers instead to focus on drug testing and pill pushing. I started seeing her over 6 years ago, started on certain meds and remained on the same meds/dosage at the time of my discharge on 3/1/16. I was told I had no rights and was very rudely discharged.
