I was operated on for lumbar fusion and laminectomy and 5 months later I can barely walk and am always in pain. Do not let Takagi touch you!

This guy needs a big attitude adjustment. When I asked him what area my lesion was at, he thumps me hard in my head and says right there! Then he says I won’t operate on you, when I didn’t even ask him if he was going to. He gives little information and gets irritated when you ask him questions. He seems to lack a lot knowledge on his profession too.

Total lack of patient follow up. Dr. Takagi performed surgery on my sister on 3/2/2018. many calls to his office asking for helping regarding difficulties my sister was having after surgery and released to rehab. were never responded to. At one point rehab said surgery did not work and she was ready to die go to hospice. Was told surgery was performed correcting and that it was no longer their problem .

This office is a nightmare. 15 to 20 minutes at least on hold every time you try to call and often they’ll just hang up on you . If the doctor doesn’t care enough to hire enough employees to take care of his patients, he’s not very good doctor .

Dr Takagi and Dr Khavkin performed a TILF on me (spinal fusion covering two levels, i.e., L4 to L5 & L5 to S1) in November of 2016. Within a week of getting home from the hospital I noticed that all of the pain in my lower back, buttocks, and left leg had abated. Four weeks out of surgery I resumed my masters swimming workouts gradually as my physical therapy. Dr T and Dr K and their associates are a great team and I could not be more pleased with my care and the outcome from the surgery

How was your experience with Dr. Takagi?

About Me

care philosophy

As a neurosurgeon, I was trained to do the most minimally invasive approach to give the patient the maximum benefit. I really take that to heart. I like the Minimally Invasive Approach (MIS) because it limits blood loss and hospital stays which leads to better outcomes and better pain control for the patient.
