A good doctor that’s underrated
I did 3 rounds and now has a child from one of the embryos created at Kaiser. I would attribute 40% of the success to advocating myself and doing all I can to improve embryos quality (supplements, acupuncture, stim protocol), 50% to Dr. Moy and 10% to the nurses. First I want to say Dr. Moy is under rated. She is experienced but over stressed as other doctors left Kaiser and only she is running the SF clinic. She had a personality also that’s why many people feel intimidated. But what matters more to me is whether the doctor can treat my problem, not bedside manner. She truly cared because she replies to my messages always instantly, spent time discussing my research and suggestions, and took compromise when Kaiser has a very rigid rule of what IVF protocols to use.The nurses followed up extremely timely. The lab is questionable given the fertilization rate. The Kaiser insurance and policy of discarding “unfertilized eggs” and charge you whole cycle if no euploid are horrible.

Incompetent
We went to San Francisco. I think the issues are a low-quality lab and poor physician oversight. We went through 2 cycles with 35 plus eggs each cycle. Nothing seemed to work. The doctors blamed us. We investigated and learned that the paperwork had errors (wrong day for the trigger), the doctors made errors (poor communication), and the lab seemed to be having trouble (poor results on fertilization). Dr. Irene Moy, who runs the clinic, became defensive and scary. We switched to a real IVF clinic and they had no trouble. We did one cycle, had 35 eggs, and ended up with 11 viable embryos. The price was about the same as Kaiser IVF. There's nothing like going with a real IVF clinic (with good doctors and a good lab)! Even if Kaiser IVF is free for you, you should seriously consider paying the extra money and going with a real IVF clinic to save the time and physical pain.

My partner and I will always be so grateful to Dr. Moy for her excellent care. We now have two healthy and vibrant kids because of her. We struggled with infertility for a long time and have tried every method possible to try to conceive including IUI prior to seeing Dr. Moy for IVF. She was refreshingly honest, efficient and very thorough. We loved her no-nonsense straight forward communication style. My partner and I still talk about how much we miss working with her and we are often reminded of her when we see our now toddlers running around having fun. We recommend Dr. Moy wholeheartedly.

I don't recommend Dr. Moy because I don't feel that she likes her job. She is always rude and gives snarky comments. Patients should be treated like humans not like s sack of potatoes.

I can't express enough how disappointed I am with her. She wants the process to go only her way. She is not communicating, taking decision by herself and doing mistakes that cost money and time.

I went to her because of her reputation and was extremely disappointed. From our initial visit when she was explaining my labs and fertility assistance options she was extremely rude. She may have noted her success rate 2-3 times in the first meeting which I found inappropriate. The 6 months I worked with her all she did was highlight that I might need to think adoption. Advice from my acupuncturist led me to another doctor and now I have a healthy newborn girl. Avoid this doctor!!!!!!
