Unbelievably obtuse
My wife wanted to see Silva because of recurring fevers. We had tested her for covid but several tests were all negative. The clinical staff demanded my wife come an hour early for yet another covid test and would not budge, regardless of our tests, lack of fever and the inconvenience involved. They agreed to push the appt date back to allow more fever-free days to pass but today called, yet again, to demand that extra hour for a test. They refused to let her see the doctor otherwise; or “you can come at the appt but the doctor may still require a test.” There’s a good chance her symptoms are stress related or even a sign of cancer, but these stupid people only see one word—covid. If the doctor has so little knowledge or imagination, she’s probably unlikely to be of any help anyway, so we canceled and will find something who has read CDC guidelines and who listens. Are they padding their bills with unnecessary testing? Forget this practice!!

Excellent, very thorough, listens attentively, explains dynamics at play very clearly, extremely rapid responses on my chart. She provides a strong opinion which is very welcome by me. Unfortunately, Dr Silva left Rush so I could no longer utilize her services. Best wishes.

One of the best Internal Medicine physicians I have ever gone to. She is VERY thorough and will take great care of you. She works well with patients that have weight problems and really cares about your well being. She can be brutally honest but it's for your own good. I am extremely happy with Dr. Silva and plan to be her patient for a long time. I love her new practice at Rush. Location and office hours are great!
