Prejudges and doesn't listen
He charged me a $30 copay to take a very basic Alheimer's screening. I was well above normal but he insisted that I was losing cognition.I tried to ask him about my Dyautonomia, but I got the impression he is not familiar with the word, let alone how to diagnose or treat it.

Dismissing and time wasting
The hour wait to see him for 30 seconds while he talks over you and dismisses the reason for referral.

Long wait times, no answers
Typical to wait an hour between appointment start time and when you're seen, even if you arrive 20-30 minutes early. My symptoms are chronic and so this apparently means I cannot be helped at all by this neologist. Not taking it personally bc I also can't be helped by my PCP, cardiologist, or endocrinologist. Like most, this is probably a better facility for acute issues.

Exactly what I hoped for
My first appointment with Dr. Abujubara was very good. He took the time to listen to my concerns, asked questions, reviewed video examples I brought, and genuinely cared. You can tell he legitimately wants to help you find out what is going on, and takes what you say seriously. I could not have asked for more!

Great Doctor, Not So Great Practice
While the Doctor was very informative and cordial, the meet and greet staff was uncomfortably cold and unpleasant to deal with. Granted, while you don’t spend much time with the staff, sometimes it’s the first impression that leaves a bitter taste.

Symptoms
At my 1st visit with him, Dr. AJ ordered an MRI and an MRA. At my 2nd visit, I met with his staff Rachael Bennett, FNP-C, who wanted to prescribe me some meds that have nothing to do with the throbbing headaches I suffer from. She called it 'a symptom'. I asked what was the cause? She repeated over and over and over again that headaches are a symptom that they treat with meds. Before treating a symptom, don't you want to know the cause, I asked? 'No. We treat symptoms with meds.' I cannot convey in this review her attitude and how frustrating and uncaring this exchange was. Suffice it to say that Office's approach is opposite my holistic approach to health; for a symptom, there is an underlying cause. I would not see that Office and its personnel again, nor would I refer it to a loved-one.

Accurate Diagnosis
My husband had a stroke and began displaying severe Bipolar behaviors which almost resulted in divorce. Dr Abujubara listened to me and did tests that no other Neurologist would offer. They only wanted to do those silly 4 hour sit and answer questions dementia tests. Dr Abujubara diagnosed FrontoTemporal Dementia. None of the BiPolar meds, he had been on for several years, were effective. Before you review so harshly, realize the complicated field he is in.

Worst docor I've ever seen
I was referred to Dr. AJ by the ER department for frequent falls and balance issues. When I came to my first appointment he asked why are here and said I was referred by the ER. He proceeded to ask many general questions (as well as filling out a handout of multiple questions) and then ordered 4 tests in his office and 3 MRI's . Each of the tests (EEG, EMG) were maybe five minutes but I was required to make a separate appointment for each and he was allowed to charge a separate office visit and co-pay (of course). Finally at last appointment I was told I have carpal tunnel in both wrists and they could get braces for my wrists. I said no thanks my wrists don't bother me at all. What symptom bothers you most he asked. My balance and falling. He said you don't have neuropathy in your feet and that usually causes falls. I guess you can try physical therapy. I have since been diagnosed with IIH and sigmoid sinus diverticulum. This Dr. is a waste of time and money. Don't go.

New patient appointment
My first appointment with Dr. AJ was good. He was engaging and approachable. He asked me what "I" wanted to do? I don't remember the last time a specialist asked me that. The office staff was very efficient and pleasant to deal with. All my follow up test and appointment to review them were easily made and within a reasonable length of time. I saw him beginning of the month, scheduled two procedures, and a follow up within 3 weeks time.

Very dissatisfied
I had various visits over a 4 month period. I did test after test after test with little or no feedback. I felt I was not supposed to ask questions. I was being shuffled off to different doctors .I of course did not go as I did not feel these were of any help to me. After doing doing various blood tests which included more than 12 vials of blood, I am still at square one. My final appointment was with the NP who could not answer any of my questions. I was shuffled off to another specialist. The Summary of my visit was a repeat of all that was there before. I always had to wait an hour or more for my appointments. The assistant who took me in before I saw the Doctor on October 4,2022 at about 11am kept calling me "Shorty" instead of any of my names. Very unprofessional. I guess the Lord did not create us all as Hulks. I canceled an Appointment that was made for me for January 2023 as I would never go back to that place.

Not impressed
Had my first visit with him after having a stroke in October. Scheduling was the first issue. Had to backdoor into their existing patient line to schedule my appt because their new patient voicemail is never called back on. During my visit he spent 5 mins with me, to them refer me to cardiologist even though the hospital found no cardiac problems. Will be considering a neuro who cares about patients with empathy and compassion.
