Dr. Ismail Badran, MD

I had low potassium, leukocytosis, a concussion, hypothyroidism, and had not slept in 4 days and thought I was having a dream. The police did not put me on a psych hold. The ambulance did not put me on a psych hold. Badran put me on a 72 hour psych hold (even though it was noted in the ER that I was NOT suicidal or homicidal) AND HELD ME FOR SIX DAYS!! He refused calls from my husband and told me that “the first day, snow days, and weekends don’t count” with regards to the 72 hr hold. He pulled my chart from the wrong pharmacy and never weighed me (I had recently lost 65 pounds.) He marked that I tested positive for meth (even though the ADD med I took was prescribed to ME.) He took me off sertraline, cold turkey (which I had taken continuously for 28 years, including through 4 pregnancies, for OCD.) Not only did he remove me from it, but he sent a note to my PCP of 23 years, which caused my PCP to call my pharmacy and CANCEL my refills. Repeatedly passed out from being over drugged….

It’s hard to put into words how amazing Dr Badran is. He truly cares about his patients, is such an advocate, and has helped me through some of the most difficult times in my life. His wonderful bedside manner, non-judgmental attitude, and compassion are unmatched by any physician I’ve ever had. Honestly he’s saved my life and I’m so blessed to have found him. He’s wonderful, works with you with management of whatever psychiatric issue you’re going through, and is so comforting and encouraging to talk to. Overall such a wonderful human and I would recommend him to anyone in need of an excellent psychiatrist.

Dr Badran is a wonderfully understanding, non-judgemental physician who is an incredible advocate for his patients. He truly cares and when he speaks with you he gives his undivided attention and gives guidance and grace when his patients are in need.
